So, this being said , I wanted to have a low buy-in tournament so anyone could play. Yet, at the same time I wanted a payout that was worth playing 18-30 hours for. So, this one tournament has a different than the normal payout. 5% of the field will be paid instead of the normal 10% of the field. I looked at it because of the very low buy-in and re-entries, A player may actually spend $400+. On the typical payout they might only receive a $250 payout. Does not make sense to me. Also first place will be lucrative. In my opinion the tournaments that allow re-entries should not have the same pay-outs % as tournaments without re-entries. I cannot see how players would like placing in the money and making less than their buy-ins. Therefore, I am trying this on "ONE" tournament to get feedback. Maybe its not the right concept, but I am trying it. I think overall it will be accepted.
The tournament will draw alot of players and re-entries and will be huge with a huge first place for a $100 tournament.
Hope this clears up the 5% payout, and hope you enjoy!
Thanks, Jimmy
I love the idea. At such a low buyin the field
Will be even softer than usual. My mantra during
this tourney will be "I will not level myself"
