I'm going to play some tournaments this year, as i usually only play cash. The Potawatomi casino in Wisconsin is the closet circuit to me, and here is their schedule: https://www.paysbig.com/application/...P-Schedule.pdf

I'm just trying to get into the smaller satellites for 65$, and would really appreciate if someone cleared up some questions for me:

1. Why do all the mega satellites say "re-entry" if the circuit just started today?
2. whats the difference between mega satellite events #1,2,3..etc
3. I can head out tomorrow and make it to either Mega Satellite Re-Entry into Event#3, or the Mega Satellite into Event#3. But whats the difference?

Thanks a bunch

1. re-entry is for the mega-sats themselves: if you bust in the first few levels/hours..., you can just re-enter by paying the buy in again, start fresh with a new starting stack (and fresh table presuming there are multiple tables) in the same sat. tourney.

2. mega-sats pay out entry tickets to the 'real' torney they relate to. So for example mega sat event 1 will give you a ticket for event 1 (if you 'get in the money' in the sat). In case you snatch a ticket you can't use that ticket for event 2, the tickets for that one are earned in the mega sat to event 2 etc. (not sure on this one, better check locally). Structures might differ too.

3. The re-entry one lets you re-enter (if you cough up another buy in) during the first levels. The other one doesnt have this option: if you're out you're out.

Hope this helps (and I didn't make mistakes)

Thanks this helped a lot. Is there any way to check the field, prizes, etc of each mega sat number? The info sheet only gives times and names of the tournaments, and its a really long drive. Also, since this is a WSOP circuit, don't all the satellites give WSOP main event seats or do some give away cash?

they dont keep record for the megas. You will have to play if you win the megas. If you win more than one seat, they will give you lammers on your second seat won.

Each satellite on the sheet you linked to clearly shows what tournament each satellite is for. Hint: each satellite is for the next ring event. The ones that say cash satellite are the ones for cash rather than a seat. As far as the long drive, that really should not matter much. For example if you want to play in ring event 1 the satellite is at 9am and the ring event starts at 11:00am. If you are interested in the satellite, show up a couple hours early and check it out. If interested jump in, if not, pre register while the lines are short and relax for a couple hours.

As most of your questions have been addressed, I would just like to add that the structure for ALL of the WSOPc sattys is absolutely terrible. If you plan on firing multiple $65 bullets at them, you should probably consider just spending a bit more and buying in directly.

Don't want to discourage you from playing, just a friendly heads up. Good luck either way. Hopefully I'll see you there.

Wow. I just checked out the $65 structure......60BB and 10 minute levels. In a half hour you are at 10BB!

OP.........MSPT is coming to Potawatomi next month. $1100 Main with $300,000 guaranteed. $130 satellites with 120BB and 30 minute levels.
