Caesars Palace tries running against the Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza again with their low buy-in series of events. The Main Event has dropped their buy-in to $1,000+$70+10.

Schedule and structure sheet info at:

wowza, havent played at one of their series in a while, was their structure ever this bad? i know venetian improved theirs over the last year, is that all that accounts for the difference between the two? or did caesar's worsen theirs (in their typical fashion)?

Yeah, I have played in these before, great tournament room, quiet etc. 2 day events with low turnout fields can be tilting, structures are not bad at all, they probably will get Ok number of players before VDSE starts on 10/28.

4PM Super turbos pretty interesting event/structure. Probably will play the ME on 11/2 dependent upon how my first few days of the VDSE goes.

haha, yea starting chips tell whole story about a structure.

yes the main event is the best value structure wise (as always), but longer level length is more the reason ultimately than starting chips.

i was looking more at the smaller trnies that fill the schedule, wherein after starting w/ 10k (for $230), 4th lev is 2/400. speaking of levels, let's compare this venetian's, which still isn't as good as a Matt Savage similar buyin imo.

Comparison of Venetian Deepstack structures and Caesar's 230/340/550
(Notice also Caesar's wondrous start antes late/huge philosophy)

Venetian level 6: 2/400 a25 CPC level 6: 400/800
level 13: 12/2400 a300 CPC level 13: 2/4000 a500
level 20: 6/12000 a2000 CPC level 20: 10/20000 a3000

Wow, this went from a $10K with a $1 million guaranteed first prize to a $1K in a few years time.

Event #1, $235 NL, has a field of 232 entries, ~9k for first.

The schedule says they play to 17th level or until they get to final table on day 1. Anybody know which is more likely to happen? I'll be there next week and am thinking about but may not play if day one takes 13 hours.

I'm trying to decide between this and the Venentian daily.

258 players as of this post, and registration closes at the start of level 7. Prize pool wise, there will probably be more than that as the tourney allows re-entries as well.

290 entries, but the registration list treats a rebuy as a separate entry.

wow those payjumps at the FT are just ridiculous. Further reason why CP-LV fails miserably at running a quality worthwhile MTT series. Given it's location, the harrahs/wsop brand, and decent space it's amazing how this poker room just can't get it together. Their mega stack series is a joke and their CPC series has been an afterthought for all circuit regs (outside of vegas) for years now. Really hope they can turn things around because the poker room as a whole is pretty decent. GL sketchy and anyone else still in...
