Seems like a quick turnaround. Wonder if this had been published anywhere else, earlier. I don’t recall seeing it and in my case it’s not actionable this close to the date.

But then again Borgata has done a successful job the last few years with regard to me and many others basically forgetting about them and tournament poker being on our respective radars.

August tournament calendar has been laying around in the poker room since the beginning of July.

I am pretty sure they are not advertising the tournaments more widely on purpose. If you can only handle 150-200 players (which they will get rather easily between their regular tourney players and RiverChasers crowd), why advertise, get more and shut down your cash games?

As per structure it says:
10. Players may opt for an adjusted payout structure once the number of players remaining is equal to or less than the total amount of places to be
paid.

What I understand is they will take 3% out of $260 for dealers tip.
Actual breakdown $252.20 (PrizePool)+$7.80 dealers tip+ $40 registration =$300.

In order to cover the guarantee they need 100 runners.

Are they setting up low target intentionally?
or really there is no traffic?

I remember pre MGM days , Borgata easily use to attract 300-400 runners for any tournaments .

The guarantee is $25,000. They have a $10 extra charge for 10k in chips which sadly forces everyone to pay $10 more in vig, so the total buyin is actually $310. 25k/310= 80.64. so 81 needed to meet the guarantee not 100.
