Genuinely curious what you find confusing about this? Looks like 6 events over the course of a week with a bunch of satellites into them. Not sure what I am missing?

I think the fact that they are calling it a “mini” series shows that they may do a bigger one in the future. Seems like a great step forward for borgata poker to me.

Does anybody have a good guess for the amount of people that should enter for event number 1? around 400 is my guess but im a newbi to tournaments. Thank alot

Guarantees seem absurdly low, didn’t they used to slap a 2M guarantee on that opening $500 event? This is a mini series though but still

Other than that, nothing seems confusing.

They had 4 large series each year (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter). Each had a $550 tournament with many Day 1's but only one of the four had a $2M guarantee. Two of the others had a $1M guarantee and I think the last one was $500,000 (but I could be wrong).

I used to go up at least twice a year for the Limit Events (e.g. H.O.R.S.E., Omaha hi/lo, etc.). for over 10 years but I have not been back there since 2019. I miss playing the fixed limit tournament games at the Borgata. I think part of the reason they are gone is Tab is gone and the new folks just don't care.

Any idea when they release the series schedule for the January open? It’s nice they finally have an open but I’m just hoping they do it right with solid structures. The mini series- the structures kinda looked meh for being bigger buy in events. Idk why not just copy parx big stax and run some sick $400/600/1100s with a great structure and a few day 1s? I’m fine with one day events but offer at least a solid damn structure like in the past. I feel borg is going to be **** with Tab gone. I’m sure they are going to offer lol structures to make most money possible so they can eliminate folks who will then go punt in cash games.

Like just copy Venetian deep stacks and I don’t have to go to vegas and can stay in the northeast. Do it right borgata. If you have meh structures, I can just fly to vegas in January and play the Venetian.

Like is it going to be big gtns, solid structures etc- or look shitty like that fall series where the structures are just mediocre for buyin level

Normally they will announce the dates of forthcoming events after the completion of currently planned events which is Borgata Fall Mini Series of November 2023

I’m not a fan of the mini series. They have an $800 on a Saturday for a one day that has a lol structure. Think they gotta offer a better structure for an $800 honestly. Just start the tourny early at 9-10am if they need the time to finish it. Idk they can’t have a one day tourny that finishes super early in morning with a better structure?

Unofficially it’s January First week to Jan 26 2024. Dates may slightly change but in that time frame. Looks like 22-24 day event!

I was not sure about playing Mini Series but after finding out Borgata Open is definitely in January, made up my mind to play mini.

I saw Jan 1-24 or similar dates listed on gpi website. I’m hoping it’s similar to past events where they had a great gtn $600’to start off and a monster stack at $400-500 buyin level. I’m just hoping the structures are great and not some quick turbo type events.

I’ll just go to vegas and play Venetian deep stacks if borgata series isn’t great. I’m still hoping parx big stax is back sooner or later. Insane structure and value.
