Have to agree Spacelord, this has to be one of the poorest promoted tournaments. I was so excited at first for some healthy competition between HPT @ Gates & WPT @ Isle of Capri, but my energy is now focused on HPT. If i do well, I'll consider WPT at Capri otherwise, it's off to Vegas end of Oct. for Venetian Fall Deep Stack

There was a thread started last night w/ many accusations concerning the wtp not happening, op was a total asshat and when i woke up the thread was gone.

new poster came on claiming to be the son of a d.o.g. commissioner and says the wpt will guaranteed not be approved by gaming. Says they wont approve the tournament downstairs or at split between isle/lady luck. Says matt and the isle are being investigated for multiple gaming violations concerning the wpt for advertising an unapproved event and other stuff like underage drinking. says dog is considering revoking the isles gaming license but i find that very hard to believe.

The only thing that looks real bad to me is that i remember reading somewhere that the wpt co was supposed to be officially announced last thursday and that didnt happen. Also its not on the wpt site and its getting very close to the date of the tourny. Not looking good for matt/isle at all. it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

So...I see the schedule at the isle's website, but I'm unclear from the sound of some posts...Is this tournament series happening?
