BC Poker Championships Nov 19-28 - Page 4 - WSOP and Tournament Circut

I recall seeing the 1st 3 years on sportsnet in like february or march but they only ran it once on a wednesday or something.

I didn't see last years on TV but I have seen all the rest, maybe they decided to scrap it with all the controversy surrounding the winner of last years event.

They didn't record last years event for TV. The previous years was sponsored by stars thus the tv coverage.

Yes there will be a ton on plo action. Biggest will probably be 10-25 or 25-50 but the game will obv play a ton higher.

If anyone is looking for more tournament action if they bust the $550 or didn't get in, there is a $330 120 max at Edgewater at 12:00pm on Saturday November 20th.

To get 120ppl to fit they will be running this in the theater and showing the UFC there as well.

Not sure of the structure but I believe it is 15k starting stacks and 30min levels.

I know a few people already keen on playing this. They are also running $35 SnG satellites to this tournament all week.

So just talked to River Rock and the poker rate at the hotel is no longer avail during ME (25-28) but is still avail from Sunday - Wed. $143/night. However there are a tonneo fo hotels really close by for well under $100 so likely I'll do that.

Also they got a whopping 12 alternates in for todays $550. So looks like (154 + 12) * 3 days means a total of around 498 players for this one.

Well I got my seat for event #2.

So how does it work as far as alternates go for event #1? Do you just show up at like 11 or something and you can register to be one?

Waiting for 12 people to get knocked out doesn't sound too bad.

Apparentyl 22 of 166 players yesterday made it thru to Day 2. Chipleader is at 120k, 2nd place 105k from 7,500 starting stack. Ave stack around 56,600. A friend of mine ended in 2nd place on the day.

With these numbers, around 65-70 people should be left on Sunday with 45 or 54 making the money I am guessing.

I decided to play the $1100.
Called from work this morning and there were about 50 seats left. No phone sign up today.
Called before I left the office and there were 13.
Twenty minutes later I got the 2nd to last seat and the guy behind me got the last one. Didn't sound like they were adding anymore tables but you never know.
Hopefully I'll make a better showing than yesterday.

2 hours before the tournament they will release pre-registered tickets who did not pay, so you might be able to get one then.

they released more seats, i just got one for 1100 event. 700 people now.

My ticket says Nov 21st at 12PM though, isn't the tournament on the 22nd/23rd?
