These events don't take place in the poker room. They are held in the theatre. Not sure how many it holds but there were more than 800 in 2008 for the main event.

Ok, let me rephrase that. I've only been there for the super sat and main event which were held in the theatre. Maybe one of the other locals could comment on the other events.

When they assign tables(a week before), let me know which table you are at for the 1100 event.

Not sure what table I'll be at until I pick up my ticket the day before the event. I'll be staying at the Riverrock anyway and will be playing cash and stuff so I'm sure we'll be able to meet up.

I've heard they're opening a 3rd day 1 for the 550 on THURSDAY. Call in and ask if you still need a ticket.

got a ticket for the $550 and showed ticket to River Rock hotel and got a rate of $143 Cdn. Poker rate

Optimistically booked entire week off work for the $1100 and main event.

Anyone willing to sell a Saturday $550 ticket for $600? I've got my tickets for the $1100 and $2700 and wont be able to get to Vancouver until Friday night. I know Days 1B (Friday) and 1C (Saturday) are sold out (and likely the Thursday is probably sold out too so just wondering if anyone out there wants an easy 10% profit on their ticket

Last year there were usually 2 tables of 5-10 PLO and one 10-25 PLO going at any time AFTER the $1100 tourney started. Note that the cash games were not great until the Monday when the $1100 tourney started. But then they got very good.

Typically at night they'd have:
2 - 5-10 NLH ($10k max buyin)
2 - 2-5 PLO8
1 - 2-5 PLO
2 - 5-10 PLO
1 - 10-25 PLO
3-4 - 5-5 NLH
some 1-2 NLH
some 4-8 Limit

and almost zero fixed limit games.

Note however that they have 4 less tables to run games on this year as the room is 14 tables instead of 18 tables now. That may adversely affect the side games.

Would love if they could allow for some extra cash games in the theater where the tournament will be held, but not sure how realistic a wish that is.

Played the sat sunday, desk said that the extra day for the $550 sold out in 30hrs.

Sat paid 11 seats and 12th got money back. I busted 20th after AQ>KK for 17k and A7>88 for 15k BvB.

I will play the last satellite sunday and I damn well better win a seat!

** You won't see cash games in the theatre, but there are other options for cash games in Vancouver too (Edgewater Casino will have 10-12 tables all for cash games)

heard Cascades is running Satelites as well.

They are. Sun-Thurs this week at 7:15pm and Sun-Tues next week 7:15pm

Just a heads up for those depending on the satelitte schedule on the website.

The schedule is still showing a sat. on Nov 13 for the main event but they're having a regular tournament instead. The sat to the $1100 is still going on Sun.
