I'm studying abroad in London and my fall break starts tomorrow. For my break I'm planning on doing a poker tour of various casinos and hold'em clubs, etc. I've been doing some research but any advice is definitely welcomed on a good tourney to play this upcoming weekend/week. Also if you're in London and wanna meet up at a tourney or know of a good party feel free to shoot me a PM.

There are quite a few places to play tournaments/cash games in London, The Vic in Edgware Road is probably the best known, where you can play cash games from £1/£2 up to high stakes.

There's also a couple of clubs, I've heard the Loose Cannon is good but haven't played there myself. I think the Empire Casino in Leicester Square has cash games, not sure about tournaments though.

There's also a couple of private clubs in Surrey (about 20mins south of London on the train), The Big Slick in Purley near Croydon and The Fullhouse in Reigate. They have tournaments and very fishy cash games every night, even the £5/£10 cash game is a very poor standard, really wish I was rolled for it.

As has already been mentioned The Vic is probably your best option for tournaments around central London, especially since The Gutshot closed down which was a shame because they ran a lot more tournaments.

As far as I'm aware the Empire Casino doesn't really run tournaments unless its a special even like the WSOPE.
