We originally booked upcoming trip so I could play in the Women's WSOP.

But $1K for 5K starting stack SUCKS, even with 60 min. blinds.

I stumbled upon the Orleans Women's tourney at the same time. Much better structure with 25K chips & 40 min. blinds. First day looks like a very manageable 8 hours of play.

WSOP ladies event usually gets about 800 players; Orleans looks like 300. So obviously not the same kind of payouts.

Wondering if anyone has played these, knows someone who has or just any info.

I really enjoy playing at Orleans. Well run tournaments. I have played the ladies WSOP once and will never play again. I think you'd enjoy the Orleans LIPS tourney much more.

If you want to play something at WSOP - play the Daily Deepstacks. Only problem with those is rebuys, but you can navigate that

Also what I was considering. Similar structure to the ladies tourney.
And just a one day deal...honestly, considering most poker players are men I may feel more comfortable!
I've got enough time, I will probably do both.
Looking at all the bonus tourney options around town...

Lots of ladies events going on starting June 24-July 3.
South point-Helix/Poker League of Nations
The Orleans-LIPS series
Venetian has a $500 Buy in ladies tourney.
Aria I think has one.
Finally found the pics with info!

Look on websites for structures. The are usually great. Only the single table satellites into the WSOP are quick.
