No one has ever emailed me from poker cast.... I would have responded and will even send them a complete spreadsheet of where every dime of tip goes. I have every dime well documented...nothing to hide. So if they want to email me it is Jimmy@pokertournamentconsultants.com

I made a good living in Poker, I worked Hard, I brought a good product, 18 years to the game. I formed PTC to give a good product, hire the best dealers, and bring in a superior floor staff. As leaders of the industry compared to other major sports...industries...we are underpaid. I was in a hotel room for 47 weeks last year....not complaining , just letting you know its a hard job out there. This is why it is time to settle down and stay at home. So, I do not know why you posted this. But you asked for an explanation and since I have nothing to hide, I gladly tried to answer what you asked. Its a shame that in this business so many people want to hang you from the highest pole. I have always tried to listen to the players and make changes for the better of poker. once again let it be known....I made good money in poker!!!!! I hope that most will see some of the accomplishments that I made to poker. Sleep well tonight, I will. Come to my auction House...But up front I will tell you that if I sell your Merchandise I will charge you 20% unlimited!!!

Do I think Fees for poker tournaments are too High...YYYEEEPPP

so if you have good records, i'd love to see those. to prove you actually you know, paid dealers out of that extra toke.

and for you to have the nerve to REQUIRE an extra toke to get the whole stack is disgusting to begin with. smiley face someone else.

i don't send my email address to people i suspect of scamming poker players and who uses multiple smiley faces in a spot where it's pretty unnecessary/out of place.

i suggest you just release it to everyone anyway because i'm not going to be responsible for reviewing it for everyone/releasing it to everyone.

and if you were this meticulous with accounting for the money, why not just let the cage do it, and charge the fee up front? don't give me some bull**** excuse, you didn't need to charge any extra money you just used this as a front to charge more $! you raked more than any other stops, and the only thing we have to show for it is your WORD or some document you created that is supposedly going to prove that the money actually got to the dealers too? LOL. yeah, i'm sure those documents couldn't be forged! what would be your motivation for doing that kind of thing?

Post these spreadsheets please. Lack of transparency is what many of us are most concerned about in the first place.

i hope no one believes that him posting such a thing would be the end of the discussion. it would be rather easy for him to tally up how many players paid the bonus (probably close to 100% if not 100%), and doctor up some sort of spreadsheet. the only way we can be 100% sure is if there is some sort of oversight, at the very least, a casino who handles the money and actually has payroll records/tax documentation of what was paid out to the dealers. without such, we'll never know at all.

the problem is dealers sign a downsheet, and are at the mercy of whoever is counting the downs and divying up the money behind the scenes. we're never going to be protected outright, but allowing giant douches to go around charging an extra $10 under the table just to get the advertised full stack is never going to fix things. that's going backwards.

jimmy never understood this despite numerous players on here asking he quit this practice. i noticed the last WSOPC events i played since jimmy quit running the show out here we haven't been charged an extra fee to get our full stack. hmmmmmmm.

I disagree, If you were called a thief, etc, you would not appreciate it either.
I have been under attack for ensuring my dealers make a living and can continue to travel to deal. It is sad that the casinos will not just pay the dealers and staff. This is where the real problem lies. But since they do not care if a dealer makes $4.48 an hour and has to pay for their room, travel expenses, etc, I had to make sure that they had enough to be able to travel. I predict within 2 years most all of the good dealers and staff will all leave tournament trail to find other jobs.

Sorry if you said I had lack of respect.... I think that all that accused me had lack of respect. Thanks

so you are charging $10 per person for this "staff appreciation" toke correct? per event? i'm having a hard time understanding your spreadsheet, but it appears as though some days you're saying only 30-40% of the field took the add-on chips for $10. i'm having a hard time believing this.

you are reading it wrong.... Please check the correct dates. 95-100% get the Bonus chip fee.

If this is true, then why did the Harrah's Chester WSOPC last year (an event which you ran) charge a "staff appreciation" add-on, while Harrah's AC and Caesars AC WSOPCs (which you didn't run) didn't charge this fee. All three already withheld 3% of the prize pool for staff, and Chester is an hour away from AC, so I imagine the travel expenses are comparable.

btw... jimmy... this is what pandering is. you claim your $10 addon is because dealers and staff aren't paid well enough.

then you claim that there is too much rake in live tournaments.

you get it yet? you can't have your cake and eat it, too, and you can't claim one thing then say that you guys are raking tournaments too much.

quit with these addons and we'll quit calling you a crook.

Ends do not justify the means. Even if 70% went to the dealers, this is not the way to do it.
Simple question. Why would u not openly advertise total cost of the buyin upfront in all advertisements and leave it to the structure sheet fine print?

Sorry but had to chime in after reading this. Surely you can see that both statements can very easily be true?

1) too much rake
2) dealers/staff underpaid

Like pick any industry - this will probably apply. Macdonalds as a company is one of the best in the world and make a lot of money! This doesn't apply to their staff. This is a subtle example of capitalism on which America is apparently built?
