You have to be careful about which type of booking you select on MGM because some promos are refundable and some aren't. I think if you read the fine print you can always find a refundable option. I guess it's possible that they could change this, but that has always been my experience in the past.

Hello everyone!

I'm a first time WSOP visitor from the UK. Excited to give it a shot! I have my trip booked for June and July.

I have a question about wiring funds over. I have seen that two options are generally good:

1) Wiring money to Paris or Horseshoe directly and picking it up from the cage (?)
2) Depositing on WSOP.com (or something like that) and buying in directly

I'm not sure if I understood those options correctly, it's a bit hard to find accurate information, since they changed the system in 2024 to some third party app? Really not sure. Could anyone please recommend the best way to get money there to buy into tournaments? (I'm able to have money in a US bank account through Wise so it's just a matter of the best way to send it in, either to pick up cash there, or to buy in directly online or something.) Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!!! Super excited to play my first Main.

Caesars and the WSOP NO longer accept wire transfer under $100,000 as of 2024. They required the app approach or a Cashiers check for smaller amounts I have not seen the rules for 2025 yet but assume they are the same.

The best way for international is to probably set up a WELLS FARGO bank account and simply withdraw funds directly at the bank and then set up a TBIC players account with the WSOP cage paying them in cash.

Personally I won't use the App. Too many data breaches occur (in general) and they require a LOT of information and access rights to your bank account that I am uncomfortable providing

Lmao originally I’m quite sure this was in a thread in NVG and mods did a little housekeeping. Yeah sure you can go for the outlier exceptions but yes given that my EQ is through the roof I do understand my man

But my view that was originally in NVG stands.

The easiest way is just to buy into the tournaments on bravo poker live with your credit card.

This is also my preferred method of buying in. Quick and easy and no lines to wait on, unless it's for a rebuy and there's the line to get your seat.

However, be aware that there's a service fee for using a credit card when paying via bravo poker live. I don't remember the exact rate, but it's something in the range of $30 per $1000, give or take. But when the registration line is out the door and the wait is an hour or more, I have no problem paying that fee to not have to wait at all.

There's been some talk about the WSOP Plus app being ready for the series this summer. There's been nothing but good things said about that app, so if that's announced and ready, I would suggest looking into using that. If you monitor the WSOP feed on twitter, that's one place they'd likely announce it.

If anyone decides to use Wells Fargo, there's a branch in the airport.

I hope they have the WSOP app ready. It makes registration much easier. It's very fluid. You avoid long lines and go right to the table. I would prefer to wire a bunch of money to WSOP app and be ready to to go.

Why didn’t the app work last year? Shouldn’t be too hard to figure something like that out?
