They fixed it in person, its 20x stack to get to 200k. As usual, replacing it online takes forever.

Thanks for the info!

Did anyone here use the cashier check option to fund their account? That seems like an easy option, but I wanted to make sure I have all the steps correct so please correct me if I’m wrong:

Get cashier check from my bank made out to Paris Las Vegas hotel and casino
Give check to normal WSOP cage (with my ID)
Register for events online (even after they start?) via the brovo app
Print card at one of those machines in the WSOP area

I already have a ceasers card and a bravo app account so I should be good after those 4 steps, right?

Don't they hold the check for awhile? If you expect to be able to play after handing it to them you may be in for a disappointment.

I was going through the process of setting up a payfiniti account but didn’t feel comfortable giving them my full SSN so I guess my options are pay for events as I go with a credit card (3% fee) or bring cash.

Those are the only 2 options if I don’t want to give PayFiniti my SSN and don’t have time to hand the cage a cashiers check and wait a business day or more, correct? I was hoping I could wire or ACH the WSOP cage money but it says to go through bravo and bravo says go through PayFiniti.

Are you coming from another country? If not, why not just use cash?

Iím in the US. Iím just not a fan of traveling with that much cash. Last year I think I brought 2/3 of what I wanted and then increased my ATM limit for the rest. I just think itís crazy the WSOP canít figure out a way to ach/wire money to their own casino instead of a 3rd party Iíve never heard of.

I havenít tried this, and maybe you have to have a certain gaming rating, but I imagine you could wire money to the casino cage and then withdraw cash there. Not sure of any fees, but it canít be worse than the atm fees they charge nowadays.

Doubtful you can wire directly to a casino cage and walk away with cash. They will give you gaming chips, and the expectation will be that you use them to gamble in the casino. You can probably play for a short period and then cash out. They'll know, and will make a note of it, but unlikely they will do anything other than reject future wire transfers from you.

And that's if they accept the wire to begin with. There's a chance they reject it outright if you don't contact them first and let them know it's coming and why. As Akashenk mentioned, it is highly dependent on players card rating/tier.

The cashiers check info was discussed in this thread several pages back...if you email wsop first with the check info (and maybe a copy of it) then it will minimize the amount of waiting time when you arrive with the physical check.

Fwiw, Payfiniti is owned by Bravo. Thousands have used it so far during the series and if there were major issues we certainly would have heard about by now. I understand concerns about just giving out ss# and other info, but this is who wsop has partnered with for electronic payment processing, so it's going to be around for awhile.

They likely will just pull big blinds from tables to form new tables and fill the empty slots with the late reg people. That way the late reg people do not all sit at the same new tables.
There is indeed quite a wait.

Yes, it's crazy. They've had 20 or 30 years to figure it out. But then, the government does everything it can to make it a pain in the butt to move large amounts of money. WSOP would make a LOT of players happy if they started taking bitcoin.

I remember several years ago, Galfond was asking people on 2p2 how he could move half a mill to play on Poker Night in America, or whatever it was. Even now, for those insane streaming games at the Hustler, they showed a guy buying in with a million in cash!
