Y'all need to learn to adopt some patience into your daily lives. Last year's was released on February 2nd, and here it is February 2nd. God forbid the schedule comes out a week or so later than last year. Here's a hint: airline fares don't change much until within about 2.5 months of travel, and hotel rates don't change much either. No one in America needs to submit time off requests more than 3 months in advance to their employer/manager.

Last year the preliminary schedule was released December 12th, the final schedule February 2nd. We're all waiting for the preliminary schedule.

I think you’re confusing impatience with excitement. The people complaining aren’t getting mad or crazy about it. They’re just excited to see it. No need for the condescension.

Weekends of marquee events my man.

By this point last year those weekends/events had been known for 5-6 weeks at a min.

Yep, a 10-day difference on an event four months in the future is killer.

This seems like a FTC complaint waiting to happen. Now, whether that actually impacts anything is another question.

From a post on the WSOP website: "With WSOP Paradise concluding the World Series of Poker’s 2023 event calendar, all efforts shift to preparation for the flagship 2024 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. "
There's your answer. That's why they haven't already dropped a preliminary or final schedule yet for 2024. They were too busy with a poker series few of us had any interest in. They should not have lied and said to expect a preliminary schedule in early January. It is what it is.

When two companies merge , FTC keeps eye on them to make sure they don’t become monopoly and start robbing the consumers.

If there is not enough competition in any market the prices of the service or product tend to go higher.

I remember in NJ , when 1st casino opened ( Resort) , they were charging $5 entry fee to get in to the door !!!

https://www.ftc.gov/about-ftc/mission

Seems to be clearly related to their mission. Whether it’s worth their time is a different matter.

When will the Summer schedules from Aria, Wynn, Venetian etc. follow? Directly after the WSOP schedule or way later like mid May?

Bait and switch. What’s so confusing about it?

Somewhere in between. They usually start popping out a month or two after the WSOP is announced.

"...aren't getting mad or crazy about it." Do I really need to start quoting some of the prior comments?

As the other poster said, March-April is the usual timeline.

What is the bait ? WSOP schedule ? and what is Ceasars trying to switch you to ?

Geez I can just envision the BOD members rubbing their greedy little hands together talking about releasing the full WSOP schedule two weeks later.than last year to ruin the competitions tournaments.

Hint the competition can release their schedules any time they care to. They wait to maximize their number of potential customers ...easiest example is the Senior Events and to not compete directly heads up with a WSOP event. They want the bust outs.

The idea of FTC involvement because Ceasars hasn't satisfied OUR poker geek addition when we hoped is LUDICROUS and ironic when you consider the stereotypical poker players disdain for governmental involvement in their lives.

I believe he was referencing the point about how they apparently canceled previous reservations upon realizing they can make more money jacking up room rates around Super Bowl time.

I don’t think his comment was in reference to schedule delays.

Well in a sense they already do that. Fri and Sat night rates are jacked up right proper. Greed isn't a new concept to them.

Yes his complaints was about canceling the reservation and charging more to accommodate them at last moment.

Nothing to do with schedule.

If anyone complaining about delayed schedule is me

Right, but again, I believe the “bait and switch” referenced was to allowing people to book a room at X dollars than jacking the price up to Y dollars for those same people.

Charging a different price for a different product is not the same as potentially breaking laws.

This is exactly the sort of thing the FTC investigates, except they usually wait till a company exploits a lot of people. Cancelling a relatively small number of reservations probably doesn’t get their attention. But if it can be shown to be a pattern of behavior which affects lots of people, Caesar’s would certainly be under the microscope.

I’m pretty sure this year, I’ll build a schedule out around Venetian $1100 or 800 (hopefully 2 bigger gtn events) and maybe the WSOP monster stack.

I hate wsop but I would play a great structure in my buy in range $500-1500 if structure is wonderful and life changing money up top. I’ll probably try to avoid the $800 as I feel they turn into turbos kinda and field sizes are too big. Venetian / aria are my 2 favorite locations to play at- if I was wealthy, I would be playing at Wynn as I feel they offer a ton of rich folk value with some solid mtters that are so easy to identify in the fields.
Venetian used to have sng satellites. Did they have them last year?

They need it. They canceled a bunch of dailies last year for lack of tables.
