Let me know if interested. Info here.
Will be pretty hard to track and set rules. You can participate in the 500$ „Lowroller“ Fantasy Draft vom David Baker though. Same rules apply as in the 25k and all is visible on their website.

Easy to calculate everything (I know how to program) as long as Hendon Mob will allow us to use their data. Without HM approval: impossible to do by hand.
I think you have to be in Vegas at the start of the WSOP to enter the ODB pool. Or is there an online way to enter now?

Can someone post a link to the schedule that is not a twitter link? I don't see it on twitter nor do I see it on the Orleans site, which makes me wonder if this is really out.

City buses are underrated. Paris to Wynn? $2, or $1 if you're over 55 (free ID required).

Certainly an option! At least with Strip walk, you can duck inside an air-conditioned casino or business, get a beverage, etc. Walking from Strip to Orleans, not so much, just ugh all around.

Orleans has just screwed up their schedule. That 1-2-3 punch of FL27-HORSE-OE on May 29-30-31 is now gone. FL27 & OE are now on the same day so you have to pick 1 or the other. 30th HORSE is just a satellite.
Good thing I didn't book any flights/rooms yet.

MGM schedule is finally out. Unfortunately it doesn't have nearly as many mixed games as last year. Those of you twitter challenged will need to wait for one of the all games schedulers to add the events to their calendar.

Waiting for the bus you just have to stand outside too. Is there any shade?

Just an FYI from Twitter..orleanspokerroom We have made a few adjustments to our summer schedule after a few discussions with players. The $1,100 100k GTD H.O.R.S.E. event will be on Friday, 5/31, with the satellite to it being at 4 pm on Thursday 5/30. The 8 game mixed championship will now be on Wednesday 6/5. https://twitter.com/Kevmath/status/1...HXSkeAmOg&s=19

You can find out from Google Maps what time the bus is scheduled to arrive and duck inside until then.

The 25K/ODB style pool for charity is now up and running.
We have a dozen entries and a few more people who have pledged to increase the pool - we now have $1200 including $70 as a booby prize for finishing last.
We even have computer quick-picks for people who don't have the time to make out their own entry.
Entry is free and $ go to charity - something to keep you entertained this summer as the results come in.

Sometimes when I click on an “X” link it loads old content. I don’t use “X” typically, and would not necessarily know I have to mess around with the app in order to get it to load the schedule.

Venues really ought to post their schedules as links on their website. It’s called marketing. But that requires a little extra effort and TDs have a hard enough time getting schedules approved that actually marketing them is an afterthought.

I have read this thread and its great - this year will be my first time in Vegas being able to play some cards. I'm going with my dad from the 3rd of July until the 14 of July, staying at ParisParis.

We are looking for any advice you guys have - as I understand, its possible to reg. to WSOP online and use the fast track machines, but how about the other series? Any good advice on how to minimize the waiting time?

Further, advice to what tourneys to priotize is also greatly appreciated - we hope to keep the tourney budget somewhat around 10-15k USD each. :-)

Thanks a lot in advance for any inputs :-)

I can only speak in regard to Venetian and Wynn as I haven’t played the other series in years. But for those two, unless something has changed recently, you can only register in person the night before when registration closes for the current flight. This ranges from like 7:30pm to as late as 9:30pm for some events.

I know the Venetian is opening a brand new room this fall, and hopefully they will have a new computer system which allows more convenient pre-reg. But we’ll have to see.

As for tourneys, there is all sorts of advice, but I would recommend you pick events and starting days that work best with your schedule, as opposed to worrying about things like field size and strength. Make sure you look at things like when/how long dinner breaks are since different series do it very differently. Plan your dining ahead of time if you intend to eat a sit down meal at a restaurant.

Also, if this is your first trip and you want to get as much poker in as possible, you might be tempted to play every single day and as long as possible. This would be fine, but if you’re amenable to it, I would recommend you take a little time off from poker and do something else in Vegas or the vicinity. There are plenty of things to do for all tastes. It will do your mind good to not be grinding away for 10 days straight.

This spreadsheet was made for someone like you to consider their options.

https://poker-schedule.com/

It lets you input your buy in options, date range, venues, game types etc and you can see what is being played where every day of your stay. Good luck and enjoy the experience. Vegas for the first time can be somewhat sensory overwhelming.

That really seems to me like the A++ strategy.
Have fun and good luck!!!

Yup. Twitter images are often impossible to read, and I'm not going to sign up just to read a schedule if they're too lazy to put it on their website.

Imagine the laziest person in the world, set your internal clock 5 minutes ahead of that, and you should be fine.

I'm exaggerating, but my observation is that a lot of the complaints about wait times and lines come from situations where people did zero planning and exercised no forethought. I played one of the Wynn $500s last summer and, if I remember correctly, the alternate list was over 100 players deep. I was seated from the first minute because I got there a half hour before the start time. Likewise, I played an Aria $600 and bought a ticket maybe 15 minutes before the start. There were long lines and alternates, but I was seated right away because I actually got there on time. Notice the trend? Just check the start time and slide in 15-30 minutes early, and you should be fine everywhere except the WSOP.

The WSOP is a somewhat different animal since the fields will be much bigger than anywhere else. I recommend buying tickets for your WSOP events the night before, which has always been a breeze for me. If you show up the day of, there may be crowds, especially for the popular NLHE events. In terms of other venues and their reg times, I'm pretty sure you can register Venetian events in advance, though you probably wouldn't really need to. I want to say it will also be the same for Wynn since I know I've pre-regged other stuff there the night before I actually played.

The one spot where I've personally encountered huge waits in the summer is with cash lists, but in this example I'm the guy who came unprepared, as I just showed up and put my name on the list. You can expect to wait a long time for a table at places like Bellagio and Aria if you just walk up and you aren't playing super high stakes, as there will be big demand for 1/3 and 2/5. The list can be 30-40 names deep. If you want to play cash, maybe call in and put your name down ahead of time, or at least check the live listings on the Bravo app to feel out the probable wait time. Seating will typically be faster at peripheral venues like MGM Grand and Resorts World as opposed to the central options like Bellagio and Aria.

I would not recommend showing up on time or even a tad before on the final starting day of any event, though wait times will obviously be different for different series.
