just becuase you register online means you STILL need to show up in persn and reg as well. as far as im aware.

so you will potentially miss far more than 4 levels of blinds that day if lines were as long as they were for wsop 50

I for one welcome the opportunity to add Covid to the wide array of illnesses I can acquire from the average low-buy-in competitor.

Frankly, I may keep wearing a mask to live poker because it'll keep me from touching my own face after handling chips.

It makes up for losing the opportunity to get Legionnaire's by staying at the Rio.

I think the only entrances are narrow driveways off of the Ballys and Paris entrance areas, or one just off the strip next to CVS. Either way you have to navigate one of the most congested parts of the strip. Given the cost, it might even make more sense for people to park for free at Rio and taxi/Uber it over to Ballys for the day.

Anyhow, this is another reason why the Caesar’s Forum convention center would be so much better for the WSOP. They have a garage plus a 300 spot surface lot pretty much dedicated to the convention center. Not sure how this compares to the Rio, but I have a hard time imagining it wouldn’t be significantly better than the parking at Ballys/Paris.

I guess we can dare to dream. But I am glad the WSOP is on the strip now. Significantly more convenient for me since I always stay in that area. And I think it will also be a boon for the other events going on at the Venetian, Wynn, etc.
I got caught completely unawares of the WSOP this year because I was dealing with other stuff. At this point it's pretty expensive to stay at Bally's, to the point that i might stay at the Rio, lol. Driving over every day and finding a parking space is really not going to be fun.

Blinds:
1. 200-100-200.
2. 300-200-300.
3. 400-200-400.
4. 600-300-600.

How much I will loose out of my $50000 starting stack ?

Or would you advise me to register directly for last flight on June 5th .Because if I play June 4th flight and knocked out on late levels , I don’t think I will be able to register for June 5th as it may be sold out by the time .

Thx
They will make an announcement about that. I think in the reunion, they didn't take out blinds if you came late but I'm not 100% sure.

I remember reading on the WSOP website that online registration would open in May. Could be a brain fart but am 80% sure.

Ballys and I assume Paris have definitely jacked their rates up compared to normal. I haven't looked but I assume Rio must be the least expensive CET property now. Thought I would guess Linq isn't far behind. Honestly, that property is perfectly situated for both the WSOP and the events at the Venetian/Wynn.

If you pre-register, they will blind you out.
If you late register, you will get a full stack.

Here is reply from Kevmath :” Like previous years, events like the housewarming will likely NOT have chips in play until they’re seated, as long as it’s by the first break, if I remember correctly”

Seems like great news

TBH I dislike the Linq. Whether it's enough to put up with driving from the Rio, I haven't decided. Also, while the Linq doesn't seem far from Bally's, it's going to be a good 105 during that walk, if not more.

Rooms are definitely bigger at Rio but proximity to Strip Food outlet and other venues wins my vote for Linq ,Harrahs and flamingo.

IDK, I mostly attribute my lack of COVID these past two years from all the time spent in casinos playing with chips and touching my face and all that.

My immune system was swole af and wasn't letting that virus near me.

PS: I know its a scientifically dubious take. But its my lived experience so its my truth.

You are The George Burns

We went to see him live when he was 98
He said He was told by 3 different Dr. When he was 40 ,50 and 60 years old to stop smoking Cigars otherwise he will die young.” All the Dr. died long time ago and I am celebrating my 98 Birthday “. he said while smoking cigar on the stage

Anyone had any problems using a Caesars Rewards Visa as their credit card to register online for WSOP events in the past? And if the purchase went through, were you charged a Cash Advance fee, since the charge was for gambling?

Up until a month ago one of my credit cards was the Caesar’s Rewards card via Comentiy Bank (cancelled it recently actually)

I used that card to register/buy-into wsop tournaments via the bravo app. So yes, it goes through no issues.

And no, there was not a cash advance fee assessed. It acts like a “regular” credit card transaction.
