It's why there's so much chatter about the Finding Clan.
Diamond is a significant tier for those who attain it through some mode other than gambling. For those of us who attain it through gambling, it has been significantly watered down in recent years.

That list looks like it was specifically designed to chase off any curious fish or amateurs who might want to play a few different games.

I haven't seen Acey Deucy mentioned in literally decades. Biggest pots in our Army games in the 70s were always Acey Deucy in mixed games (and all our games were mixed), I won a $300 plus pot once in a nickel, dime, quarter game, was sweating it and had my checkbook out and would have been screwed if I had had to write that check. At least $100 of it was my money. Huge pot for us. Good times.

2-7 Dramaha
A-5 Dramaha
Dramaha A-4 Dugi
Dramaha Dugi
Badeucey
Badacey

There’s no big bet games, some of those limit games like lhe, Tahoe, Mexican stud are not among those available, and there’s probably one or two limit games that could be chosen not on list

There are a lot of recs that frequent the game. You just wonít get the rec thatís looking to play something like TORSE. And thereís no middle ground to be had with that particular player type.

But if someone is willing to play one kind of Dramaha they usually up for them all.

I am in Vegas now at the WSOP, and although I like the new venues, I have complaints.

1 - The lines are crazy - it seems that they are very understaffed. They usually have 4 people working the desks in the non-VIP lines(when they have capacity to have 10) to register players when there is a line around the block. Same with depositing money into your WSOP Account.

2 - The prices of some things are price gouging. $6 for a brewed coffee is ridiculous. Same with $7 soft drinks.

3 - The hotel gym is crappy

4 - The pool doesn't open until 10am

But the the things that I like in the new venue
1- Location is much better
2- More food choices
3 - The atmosphere and mood of everyone seems better

The value of getting Caesar's Diamond status cannot be understated. It is the STONE NUTS during WSOP time.

95% Shorter registration lines. For Event 25, there were 300+ in line for the 800 Deepstack. The Diamond and higher line had SIX.
Jump to the top of the list for cash games at all Caesar's properties.

Figure out how to get it, and go get it.

The importance of registering ahead of time cannot be overstated if you want to avoid those long lines.

Go the night before. Get your ticket. Avoid the wait.

I don’t get why the registration cage isn’t fully staffed at least between 8:00am and 8:00pm. I believe they have like 17 windows, maybe more, and I have never seen more than half of them staffed (though I wasn’t there during peak hours for stuff like the Reunion). I don’t know what those cage workers get paid per hour, but it seems like peanuts compared to how much the WSOP makes. Maybe there’s some special NGC-mandated verification process a person has to go through to handle money, making it harder to find staff. But the WSOP does a pretty good job obtaining so many dealers, it’s hard to understand why the same wouldn’t be true of cage staff. It’s probably just another case of Eldorado nickel-and-diming their way through things. You can see it everywhere.

I can’t speak to the coffee since that sounds about the same price you would pay at a Starbucks or similar cafe. But in general, the prices for food are a borderline scandal. This can be said to some degree about a lot of places in Vegas, especially with inflation being like it is. But the WSOP takes it to a whole new level. I went to a local spot in one of the hotels to get a hotdog that doesn’t cost $14. Well, now it cost $14. I was told it was because the WSOP had them raise their prices so they wouldn’t compete.

I doubt there is anything that can be done about it. The WSOP’s food vendors probably produce just about as much food as they are physically able to. If they lower prices they would not be able to satisfy the demand. And with prices being at their current levels, there are plenty of customers who just throw tons of money around who are willing to pay whatever the WSOP wants. The only way to lowe prices would be to increase the supply of vendors. And of course the WSOP has co trip of that, so they are not necessarily eager to do it.

I will say that you can find some spots outside the hotels to get some equivalent stuff for more reasonable prices. You just have to look around a bit.

Did RIO have a better gym? There are tons of hotels in and around Ballys/Paris including at least a few across the street which are likely to have better amenities. That being said the WSOP doesn’t really have anything to do with the gym or other amenities.

I registered for my events the night before and never waited longer than 5 minutes.

There is fast food available in the area towards Planet Hollywood. Would be tight for the 20 minute breaks but super easy at the dinner breaks.

Being my first time playing the WSOP, I don't have anything to reference historically. That said, I thought it was run well. I don't see why or wouldn't just purchase entry online. I got my status verified and rocket printed in under 5 minutes.. well worth that 3% charge

I must be some complete luddite, but I can't find where to reg for the Daily Deepstacks on BravoLive. The only thing I see online reg for is WSOP events. Stood in line for 2 hours yesterday to reg the 2pm only to find out at cage that it was canceled that day.

Should I just go to Burgundy room to get help? What am I missing here? My CC is registered and approved, linked my Caesar's Rewards card, etc. Guy at my 9pm Daily table last night said he registered online for that no problem...

DDS are only available to register day of, and the 9pm is available for registration now, at least on my BPL app. Go to WSOP, Tournament Registration, That will take you to a website with the lists. 9pm $200 DDS on July 4 is Event #283.

Searched for this information on the WSOP site but couldn't find it -

does anyone know if you can pre-register for a tourney then show up late and get a full stack?

I'm flying in Monday and want to pre-reg for the $777 event. Event starts at 12pm, I land at 1:30pm. Assume there will be a long line still at that point and want to skip it.

Thanks.

As per player services any buy ins over $1000 will not be blinded off if pre-registered. Anything under $1000 will be blinded off.

Note that the benefits I mentioned haven't been watered down and every Diamond gets them.

The VIP line benefit has been watered down a great deal by the elimination of diamond VIP lines in lots of places, never mind the elimination of service personnel making the VIP lines lengthy if they still exist.

But as far as registering for WSOP events… yes this is still a big benefit. Of course, if everyone becomes Diamond, then the benefit largely goes away. Hopefully the WSOP will continue to invest in technological solutions. IMO, the current solutions are too expensive for players. Only those who really value convenience are willing to pay the extra rake in the form of pre registration fees. But making the whole process more efficient would benefit the WSOP too in their ability plan for volume and register more players for their events. The long lines benefit no one.
