I think you might be thinking of a progressive knockout tournament (pko) where your bounty increases when you eliminate a player.

Basic the pko on https://www.pokernews.com/strategy/f...ents-40570.htm
This is where confusions as per WSOP website ( last line):
“….. a regular tournament with those who advance to day two claiming the bounty of players they knock out. a regular tournament with those who advance to day two claiming the bounty of players they knock out. Each player who knocks someone out also gets an additional prize bounty.

Will be in Vegas 5/30 to 06/13, I got a air bnb close to strip a few months ago, only have 5k to play tournaments so only playing in a few WSOP events, will be awaiting the Orleans and golden nugget schedule to fill in the events I play overall. The wsop events I plan on playing are

The housewarming 500
Deep stack 600
Deep stack 800

Don't forget the Venetian & Wynn usually have tournaments during that time. (But I don't think the schedules are out yet. They were probably waiting for the WSOP schedule)

Nugget schedule coming 4/01.

Good series if you want to dink around in some low-mid budget stuff or different variants.

Daily Deep Stack schedule:

https://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/fes...hp?a=r&n=40581

Some significant changes from recent years.

1PM $250 bumped back to 2PM.

Looks like the 4PM $200 is toast. RIP.

7PM $400 turbo has become the 5PM $400 turbo.

10PM $150 turbo has become the 9PM $200 turbo.

Good stuff Dogface, thanks, I was looking for this info all evening. I see that they have retained the two weekly deepstacks too - $250 HORSE on Mondays and $250 Seniors on Wednesday mornings in June, as per last November’s series.

The deepstacks were very poorly attended in November, numbers down by 70%+. I wonder if entries will rebound this year?……

Thx DogFace . I don’t like 1PM changed to 2 PM.
I was wondering why Deepstack attendance went down that much !

I expect attendance to be back to 2019 numbers. Lots of people were deterred from playing last year simply because of the vaccine requirement, and how long it would take to get through all of the hoops to show proof. Multiple lines, at least for the initial first buy-in. With so many other tournaments at similar price points, many just played tournaments at the other series being held across Vegas, especially Golden Nugget and The Orleans

Strangely, it doesn't mention that last line on the structure sheet

I feel like I'm going to plan to play a tournament, but change my mind at the last minute and just play cash games.

The housewarming is an ok structure, but I might prefer the monster stack with the 60 minute levels

I’m guessing this is going to be insanely packed, long lines to enter and re-enter? What were people’s experience with the last one of these?

This year’s tournament will also feature a $5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool WSOP opening weekend dubbed “The Housewarming”, featuring a $500 buy-in. This popular price point for the opening weekend has generated some of the largest field sizes in the history of poker. Last year’s “Reunion” event generated a whopping 12,973 entrants and organizers are expecting an even larger field as the event returns to its traditional summer schedule.

Small buy-ins , Big guarantee always huge crowds.

I always preregister first flight. And use diamonds line if the lines are not huge or spend $12-15 extra on fast track kiosk.

But some times when there is huge crowds and they don’t have tables to seat you, you wait in another line after registration to get your seat card .

If you are adverse to long lines, I suggest what I did for the reunion in the 2021 WSOP.

Register via bravo ahead of time and go to the final registration line for verifying identity, etc.. early in the morning like 6am and you'll be done in 20 minutes.

Keep in mind that unless the protocol has been changed, you need to go through the registration line at least once. After that, you should be able to use the kiosks and there were kiosks in multiple caesars properties.

I am debating which one I should play ?
Housewarming or Monster? Any suggestions and why ?
Thx.

I mean the Monster is pretty clearly going to be a much slower and deeper tournament, but it also costs 3x as much, so kind of depends on your roll, etc. If I could comfortably play either, but could only pick one, I'd play the Monster. But is the Monster worth same as the Housewarming PLUS two other $500 tourneys, or another $1k, etc.? Closer.

Bankroll is not a problem. I need to manage my days . I have Total 10 days available in June.
I was thinking either Housewarming and Milli Maker. Or Monster and Milli Maker.
Thx

I'm playing the Monster. I'm not rich enough to play the ME, so for me the Monster will be my ME. Deep starting stacks. One hour levels. Two starting flights. Significant prize pool. It's going to feel like a prestigious major tournament and get very fun if you happen to run deep.

I've played stuff like the Giant and Colossus in past years. It's fun from a pure spectacle standpoint, but the fields are so huge as to become almost insurmountable and the day ones feel kind of clowny with the massive player pool and re-entry. It's fun to get in there and splash around in these events, but it's not going to feel like a high level tournament unless you happen to get pretty deep.

I can relate to your dilemma because I'm trying to decide whether to burn most of my budget on 2-3 prestige events or spread myself out between a lot of cheaper stuff to reduce variance and increase the chances of a deep run in something. I'm going to take more of a middle ground between the two extremes. If you only have the time to play one thing, the Monster is going to be a better event than the $500 lottery.

Are any of you familiar with how many entrants in the past and what the structure is like in non-holdem $1100 buy-in 8pm satellites? Any details would be greatly appreciated.

play the Monster, it is such an awesome tourney. Tons of play with the 50k and hr levels and sooo much fun is you get deep (made days 3s twice). Ive played in every one, besides last yr, and am super bummed I have to miss it again this year (stupid weddings).

Housewarming/Collosus etc type tourneys are fun and all but if you can swing the 1500 Id just play the monster and get the most bang for my buck.
