It's antiquated software that looks like it was done in the 80's. A cashier showed me the screen once and complained about all the steps she has to go through to register someone for a tournament. Plus the servers it runs on sometimes get super slow.

Anyone have info on signing up at night? Like say 9pm-midnight? Waking up at 6-6:30 is annoying but worth it obv if you need to reg a bigger field mtt.
Usually there are fairly long lines, but sometimes not. I'd consider after 1 am.

Arriving in Vegas next week and want to play a daily tournament or two.

Doesn't necessarily have to be a WSOP event, but I am curious how many runners the daily WSOP donkaments are getting? And are there guarantees for these?

The few days I was there last week, the 2pm $250 was getting 700-800 and running past 2am. The 7pm and 9pm dailies had already chopped it up and gone home for the day but the 2pm was still at 8-9 players.

Agree with their software being goofy. Guys the 6-8am time seems to be golf for signing up. I never understand the folks that wait in a huge line at 10-11 am before a tourny. I hate waiting plus they take so long to just reg a person. I went again at 7:30 this morning and line was 2-3 folks long.

I am already registered for the main event, day 1D.
In case I change my mind when I arrive n Vegas, how easy is it to change the day 1? Do I just need to go to the cage and ask?

I registered for the wrong day online a few years ago. It was a pain and required standing in a couple long lines. To unreg, I had to stand in the payout/special services line then I had to stand in line at the main cage to register again in the proper flight. Totally defeated the purpose of registering online.

You'll get an exact section/table/seat assignment the moment you buy your ticket.

"Bally's Blue Table 102 Seat 5"

I would just go at whatever time is convenient for you and hope you get a soft table. Not much strategy to it. Not much reason to wait.

I'd add, since it's a new venue, walk over and find your seat that night too.

I am writing this from a room at Paris. Itís very nice. Their check in kiosks also worked flawlessly, which was a nice thing. I have no idea why so many people were standing in line to check in with a person instead of using the kiosk.
I like to ask for upgrades in person.

Registered for tomorrow's Seniors. Bally's Blue, table 469, seat 1.

If anyone's in the area and would like to say hi, please stop by. Be quick about it before I bust.

Met BigSkip and BiteMeFish down at MGM. Still 100% on meeting good people through 2p2.

Skip and I got put on the same table, with a real nice Irish guy between us. Nice evening, but I am exhausted, couldn't remember the cards I was (mostly) folding, so bailed after about 1h30.

From the "always show, you never know" department...hand checked down, I flipped over 53s saying that I didn't like my chances.

All three of us had undercards to the board, escaped with a chop.

Iíll mention it again since Iíve yet to see anyone acknowledge itÖ[emoji1787]Öbut you can register for bracelet events at the STS windows, which is a great hack when the main line is long.

Acknowledging by clarifying, what does STS stand for?

Single Table Satellites, they have a section in the main Paris ballroom, near the cash games and King's Lounge.

I should add, I believe it is cash/lammers only, so if you were looking to pay with a credit card, that is online or main WSOP cage across the hall.

Is there a stagger or delay on Caesars kicking down tier/rewards points? I've been home for over a week and my balance is still climbing. Weird.

Also, roughly how much $$$ do you need to drop to get gold status?

Gold is the base status. Then Platinum, then Diamond. What benefit are you looking for?

I meant platinum, but now that I look at it, there seems to be very little value in platinum.

Looks like diamond is where you start seeing significant tangible benefit (no resort fees).

Plat is free parking which can be very beneficial if you have a car.

Diamond is a significant tier. Free parking, no resort fees, $100 anniversary dinner, VIP lines everywhere. At the Rio, it was fantastic seeing fifty people standing in line for breakfast, zero people in the Diamond line. Top of the poker lists, special cashier at the WSOP, etc, etc.

It's why there's so much chatter about the Finding Clan.

Any intel on what games get spread in the 20-40 mix that runs every day in the WSOP cash area? TIA
