Can anybody explain - did it not run, and if not, why not?

Thanx
It ran, I played it. I played bad.

To register for an event, can you just provide your Caesar's reward # and your Government ID or do you need a physical Caesars rewards Card. Thanks.

10. A Participant must be a Caesars Rewards member prior to registering for any WSOP Event, satellite event, side event,
or live-action game. Caesars Rewards registration is free. Participants may register online at www.CaesarsRewards.com
or in person at (a) the Caesars Rewards is located in the Champagne ballroom of the Paris convention area, (b) the Caesars
Rewards Center in the casino area of the Casino, or (c) any other Caesars Rewards Center located at a Caesars-affiliated
casino property.

COMMENT -- it would seem in theory as long as you have a valid rewards # that they can verify that it is YOU then TECHNICALLY a hard card is not required..... or at least that is how I would interpret the above.

There’s kiosks all over the place to reprint a rewards card. Just do that.

For the cash games, I saw that the physical rewards card was mandatory. When I played cash games there they asked for both.

You absolutely need a physical rewards card. As noted, it's easy to get one, there's a Rewards desk right there in the hallway in Paris, impossible to miss and there was never more than a couple people waiting in line when I walked by it. There are also kiosks where you can reprint a card if you already have the account. It should be the first thing you take care of before you try to either register in person or do the verification for FastTrac.

They need to swipe your card to reg for a tournament. They're not just being meanies.

Did the Rio allow service dogs while playing WSOP events?

I saw two photos, from separate events, where players had dogs in their laps.

Is this becoming more commonplace?

A place of business cannot ban a real service dog, it is totally illegal. That is not to say that many people abuse this law when they do not have a service dog. And, businesses cannot ask for proof about service animal claims. I don't know why Americans are so uptight about animals in public places, not like that in Europe from what I have seen. If dog is behaved, no one gives a crap. In the US, people give a crap about such things. Makes no sense. And, yes, a disruptive service animal may be required to leave a place of business.

I don’t mind the dogs, but it’s probably a hygiene thing. And some people may have animal dander allergies.

Of course, many Europeans play fast and loose with hygiene in general, so it doesn’t surprise me they are less uptight about animals in the playing area.

They can also type it in. Ive had my card go dead from being in my pocket near my phone pretty often. I would hand them my card and say "it wont swipe" and they just type it in. I cant imagine that they would make you go get a new card and wait in line again if you have a card that wont swipe at the WSOP.

But thats different then not having a card at all and just having your ID# on a piece of paper or something. Not sure if they would allow that plus ID.

Just got back from Vegas with SenoraGuzman. Stayed at Bellagio but walked across the street one night to check out WSOP. Security stopped us from entering since we didn't have a room key, but since we said we're going to check out WSOP they let us through. (I guess we look trustworthy?) Got to see a few pros (David ODB Baker) and celebrities (James Woods). The sidewalks outside Bally's are apparently very comfortable, especially in the mornings, as I saw many people sleeping on them.

There are no security guards checking for room keys at the WSOP. If you were at Ballys, the guard must have thought you were trying to get on the elevators. In which case you could just have walked by without saying a word and proceeded to the convention area.

I ended up regging the milly maker this morning at 7am. The line was like 4-5 people long which wasn’t bad. It’s kinda goofy how long it takes to register though. I was with the teller for like 2-3 min so I can’t imagine what it’s like if lines are big.

Anyone have info on signing up at night? Like say 9pm-midnight? Waking up at 6-6:30 is annoying but worth it obv if you need to reg a bigger field mtt.

Rare to see a service dog at the Rio. They preferred to frequent classier establishments.

Do Ballys rooms have regular fridges (ie not a mini-bar)?

[EDIT: Answer is apparently yes, Bally's rooms have fridges: https://caesarsrewards.custhelp.com/...room-amenities

("Refrigerators are standard in all rooms at the Planet Hollywood, Rio, Paris, Flamingo GO and FLAMINGO rooms, and Bally's at no charge.")

Curious if Ballys supposed fix to the AC has made a noticeable difference at all - I don’t see any tweets about it still being hot in there but curious if it’s now hoody / jeans weather or if shorts are still feasible. Thanks

My room in the Jubliee tower did. It was disguised as a cabinet in the dresser. I'd recommend asking for a different room (in the Resort tower if possible) if you don't have one.
