Riots will not change thick skin corporate behavior. Only way they will start respecting all of us is when it hits their pockets.

They used all excuses, pandemic, new venue, huge task, shortage of dealers ,logistical difficulties.

A two line press note addressing their fans and customers is not a though task for a responsible business.

No excuses for such cocky behavior.

Heading out in late June and I made reservations at both Paris and Ellis Island (half the cost). I am going to cancel one of them. Any Ellis Island comments?
Might as well have something to discuss while we wait and wait for the schedule.

Did not stayed at Ellis Island ever ! (Had over 35 trips in last 40 years ). My preferred would be Ballys, Paris, Flamingo,Linq, Harrahs’s , Rio, GoldCoast/Orleans ( in that order)

I haven't stayed at either, but I would recommend checking if the will comp a minifridge for your trip (I think paris was charging about $100 per night in the fall wsop). Several hotels are now charging for it, so if you need one for medicine or food, it may effect your decision. If you don't plan on renting a car, you may want to stay at a hotel on the monorail line for convenience.

I always request a mini fridge. I stayed in June and October Fall WSOP ( Harrahs, Rio, GoldCoast and Orleans. ) never was charged. $100 a day sounds like highway robbery. ( Mini Fridge cost under $100 sometime on sale . Max $119 )

I stayed here in 2017 during my WSOP visit. It was very loud (thin walls) due to the many EDC visitors at this time. The room was very tired though I heard they have renovated since then. I got a fridge at no charge as I need it for medication ($10 tip to front desk). It's not really a lie as I am told that I am impossible to live with without a few cold diet cokes in the morning. The food options are good and very reasonably priced. I would not stay here again but make a stop each trip as I like the casino.

Ellis is completely fine, rooms on par with the lower tier CET properties. I like that they have decent quality food at very reasonable prices. Also they're way more generous with comps compared to strip casinos, the first night I was there I was playing $25 BJ (may have been spreading up to $100 but nothing huge) and within 15 minutes a pit boss came up to me and asked if I wanted a dinner comp.

It's one of my favorite Vegas casinos, maybe I'm biased, but no way I'd pay 2x the price to stay @ Paris.

I looked up on orbitz yesterday and the venetian charges $50 per day (I chose the beginning july before the holiday) . It may have been higher last year since it was during the wsop or maybe I am misremembering the price. When I stayed at MGM, I bought a cooler from the supermarket and just filled it with ice twice a day.

I have 3 Bally's bookings for June through Caesars' website. All of them list "Refrigerator: Yes" under the Amenities section,

Big draw event 5 million guarantee !

Event #5A: The Housewarming No-limit Hold'em - Flight
$5,000,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool

This year’s tournament will also feature a $5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool WSOP opening weekend dubbed “The Housewarming”, featuring a $500 buy-in. This popular price point for the opening weekend has generated some of the largest field sizes in the history of poker. Last year’s “Reunion” event generated a whopping 12,973 entrants and organizers are expecting an even larger field as the event returns to its traditional summer schedule.

Just checked quickly. Nothing looks different or new right now . Will go through tonight with more attention.

Only new event I noticed in low buy-in is $1000 million $ bounty on July 1st. Kind of interesting!

Booking early paid off for me, as I got a much better rate than what Caesars are offering now. Going 6/5-6/13. Paying about $750 for 8 nights at LINQ and Bally's. The schedule is about what I expected based on recent years, so I'll have some good options for events to play.

Compelling stuff in my price range:

6/06 - $600 NLHE
6/07 - $1500 NLHE 6-max
6/09 - $1000 NLHE
6/10 - $1500 NLHE Monster Stack
6/12 - $800 NLHE

Probably can't afford all that, so may need to pick and choose.

Gonna see what the other venues drop to sprinkle into the mix. Expecting we will hear from Nugget, Venetian, Aria, and Wynn soon.

Just noticed that the Monster Stack is no longer a Freeze-out. Not sure if this is good or bad, but I guess it will increase entries, and also the prize fund.

From 2022 structure sheet: "PLAYERS ELIMINATED IN FLIGHT-A MAY RE-ENTER INTO FLIGHT-B "

From 2021: "FREEZEOUT FORMAT – ABSOLUTELY NO RE-ENTRY"

Can anyone explain to me how event 68 will work out ?

Bounties $$ will be decided after someone is knocked out ?

If anyone has played before this kind of surprise bounty tournament?

If the guy who is being knocked out also get something extra too if I am understanding correctly.

I haven't played bounty events so if I am mistaken, I apologize.

Each player gets a bounty marker, and when you are eliminated the player who knocks you out gains your marker to redeem. The marker has a random value between XX and $1,000,000.

I think you might be thinking of a progressive knockout tournament (pko) where your bounty increases when you eliminate a player.

Basic the pko on https://www.pokernews.com/strategy/f...ents-40570.htm
