Question about The Homecoming tourney? Can you play all 4 flights and take your biggest stack when the flights combine on that Monday? I see that the payouts r paid out each night.

As far as I know if you end a flight with chips you must forfeit them in order to enter another flight.

How many chips would you be comfortable with at the end of
A flight before foreiting them and starting another flight?

Guess I'll try to get to 1 mill. on flight A and then play the daily WSOP $400 deepstack on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Avg chip stack should be approx. 1 mill at the end of the flight, no?

Structure sheet says day ones go until end of level 22 or 15% of field remaining, whichever is later. Average stack size won't reach 1 million until there's 5% remaining. At 15% it will be 333,333.

huh, if they start with 50k and get to 10% then thats 500k avg stack at end of flight.

if you start with less chips and/or less people elminated then Avg Stack will be considerably less.

Day 2 will start around level 23. The Blinds will be $60000-$30000-$60000.
Each orbit will cost you 150000 In chips . Average chips would be around 300000. Depending on which flight . Flight C , I will not forfeit if I have $250000 or more. For Flight A and B I will forfeit under 250000. (This is my thinking now but don’t know how I will act when have to make tough decisions).

250000 sounds big stack but at that level will last only less then 2 orbits, which is less then 40-35 minutes.

This type of tournament always becomes a fast shoot out on day 2 .

You need 10 to 12 orbit strength to go deep on 2nd day unless you are very lucky.

I will consider 750000 to 1 million a strong stack for me .

They are saying Day will end when 15% field left that comes to average of 333000

The structure sheet says 15% or 22 levels, whichever is later. If you go by the Housewarming last year (which had the same structure) the day will go 22 levels -- and significantly less than 15% of the field will still be standing. Just looking at Day 1C last year, there were 5,871 and 286 advanced to day 2 (<5%).

Which means if you have any stack at all going into day 2, it's probably not recommended to forfeit, since odds are against you getting to the last 5% of the field.

I’m interested to know whether a similar condition applies to the WSOP Seniors and Super Seniors events. The structure sheet for the Super Seniors states merely ‘must be at least 60 years of age’, with no specification as to a cut off date…
…Or PM me the private email address of one of the senior guys at WSOP to whom I could apply for definitive information on this question…

Thx….

So got my wish and will be playing the ME for the first time this year. Never played a WSOP event before so just wanted to know has anyone wire transferred to buy in before and is the process fairly easy to do?

Last time I went to Vegas I stayed in the Bellagio Suite which will be a complete waste of money I think if the days are going to be 12 hours long so does anyone have any good ideas on where to stay? Guessing Aria would be good as its close and when the inevitable bust out happens there should be plenty of cash action there.

in this thread start reading around post #391 and the following posts for information. Greg Raymer also discusses the issue of Getting Cash for the WSOP and suggests using a local branch of your bank... I believe he uses Wells Fargo. You can set up a wire for your WSOP thru Paris Las Vegas. You can also find some discussion in the New, Views Forums https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/2...8/index24.html Just do a search using wire transfer for additional information. Good luck and ENJOY - One suggestion if this is your first WSOP if at all possible play at least one event PRIOR to the Main Event. I don't care how many tourneys you have played being a PURE newbie at the Main is not ideal for a successful result.

Depending on your timeframe, this is a real good advice.

If you can, play Mini Main on July 1st.

Hi

Yes, I did get an answer thank you

Bottom line is that you need to be the requisite age by the date of the tournament. His answer wasn’t specific enough to help anyone whose birthday fell during the tournament, but in principle day1 is the cut off date…..

I've cashed the 1PM $250, which I'm guessing is the same structure, and it looks like we popped the money bubble right around 8:45 PM.

The daily deep stacks essentially have no play in them when you get out of the early levels.

The blinds go up mad fast and it becomes a total shovefest.

So yeah, you should easily be able to make a 10 pm flight off a 9 am start time, even if you run deep.

Attempted a search but I haven't seen the subject mentioned anywhere on 2+2:

Has Caesars or WSOP given any details on safety deposit boxes available for the series? When will they be available and what's the going rate this year?

Thanks in advance.

Lots of Wire transfer instructions but limited Cage account info in the WSOP threads. You can wire to Ballys (different than the Paris/WSOP wire instructions) and draw on those funds AT BALLYS TABLE GAMES. I personally spoke to a Cage Supervisor with Ballys and money send to them is really NOT intended for the WSOP play .... IE they don't want to be a bank for you ( riverph7 or others may want to chime in as they have had different situations at the RIO). As specific to a Deposit Box situation I did NOT inquire.

PS the Ballys Cage Supervisor was a PITA to reach but she was extremely helpful and courteous to me on the phone.

Am I able to register for a WSOP through Bravo as late as the night before my flight? If so, what steps follow that? As in, would I still have to wait in some kind of line at Bally's even though i've registered through Bravo? Online it mentions a kiosk but I wasn't sure how accurate that was or how long the kiosk line coudl be. This would be for the housewarming so I'm assuming all lines will be a headache

Is the layout for cash games at Bally's and Paris set? Will Bally's poker room be used - or all cash games in convention areas?
