Rio rates are crapola, especially with the resort fees tacked on. Really bad value compared to 2019 and 2018.
Will be playing the $1k NLHE on the 13th and possibly the $600 PLO on the 12th. I'd like to take more shots at bracelet events, but nothing else fits. Probably play the Nugget nightly on 10/10 and then sprinkle in some cash/Wynn/Aria/Venetia during open slots in the WSOP schedule.
Was definitely itching to play a lot of WSOP events, but my timeline just doesn't match up with the stuff that fits my budget. Can't be too disappointed. After having no live series at all in 2020, it will just be nice to be back in those rooms.
Scratch that. I lied. Switched up all my plans. Staying at the Rio now. Rates suck, but I found a pocket of not-too-terrible prices on the end of a weekend that coincides with some events that fit into my stakes/games wheelhouse.
New schedule:
10/31 - arrive, cash games, nightlies
11/1 - $600 WSOP NLHE
11/2 - $500 WSOP NLHE
11/3 - $1000 WSOP NLHE
I have no hotel booking for 11/3 because everything is extortionately expensive for that night, but my flight doesn't leave until 11/4 AM, so it could be an interesting evening. If I don't find something between now and then, it could be an all-night cash session and then hit McCarran in zombie mode.
