Although I'm not playing (no time) I'd love to rail some of these WSOP tables, especially if I get to see some big names for the first time.

Any tips? I have 0 experience being a railbird at any tournaments like this before, so any advice is welcome. I probably only have time for an hour or two total during the trip.

Thanks!

Generally, the high buy-in events run in Amazon room. Brasilia would be next in the hierarchy. Pavilion is a lot of cash games, STTs, and daily deep stacks, though can also have day twos and FT bubble type stuff in the white section. But generally Amazon is going to have the highest concentration of pros. I'm not sure if the stage will still be there since the ME ends on Wednesday night, but with any luck they'll still be using it for one of the postlim telecasts.

Looks like the $250k will be launching on Thursday, and that should be a perfect opportunity to ogle a field of well-known crushers. Most likely they'll be in the Amazon room.

He busted out of the $1.5k Freezeout before dinner, as did I.

Come to the Brasilia room on Thursday 17 Nov for the Hall Of Fame Bounty tourney if you want to see some big names through the ages.

Thx my 2+2 friend for your valuable rail support.
Min cash though, It was great ride.

But your back to back achievement in Seniors and Super Seniors was a guiding force for me .

Congratulations on cashing back to back in both Seniors and Super Seniors

Hello. Does anyone know when is the day 2 of Event #81: No-Limit Hold'em Deepstack? Day 1 is tomorrow (Nov 18th). They don’t inform when is day 2. It would make sense to be at the day after (Nov 19t), but not always WSOP do things that makes sense…

Check the structure sheet on their website. It should say.

AFAIK, it would always be the very next day unless it was an event with multiple starting flights spread out across multiple days.

In this case, it will be the next day (Nov 19th).

This last $5K tournament of the WSOP series looks pretty stacked with pros. All the recreational players went home for Thanksgiving I'm assuming...?

.
What does “lots” mean? And why combine a statistically meaningless word with a nebulous/unsourced statistic with questionable relevance in order to make a general point?

Out of pure idle curiosity does anyone know (first hand ) of any COVID related incident at the WSOP this year ? Personally I was there 9 days and I can't think of anyone at any time mentioning that "so and so" was pulled from a table ...dealer or player or DQ'ed due to an outbreak or illness.

Also even playing in the Senior and Super Senior events the number of players even wearing a mask was never more than 50% at a table I sat at. You would think that the older players (such as myself ) would have been more concerned but in reality it was from my experience a nothing burger. In the one OPEN event I played the ratio was similar at the Rio although Masks were an absolute requirement at other Casino's when playing a tourney.

Mid-series Vanessa Kade announced she was positive and went into quarantine.

Late stages of Main Event there were a few notable pros that announced their were positive. Dan Zack even abandoned a Day 2 stack due to strong symptoms.
