Separate question about events with multiple day 1's -- I can't find anything in the official WSOP Rules about what a player's options are for playing in day 1A, bagging a small stack, and then deciding to play in 1B. Can you play 1B, and then at the end of the day choose to advance to day 2 with your largest bagged stack, or do you have to forfeit your bagged day 1A stack in order to register for day 1B?

Anybody have experience with this or know the rule? THanks.

I don’t remember actual wordings but if you bag it you are stuck to that . If you surrender at the end of the day without bagging, is only option.

I did that in one of the colossus. Already in the money, I asked the suite what if I want to play next day flight? They said don’t bag and gave me last cahed amount of the day. And free to enter next flight.

Here is the Rule 13:

13. Re-entry is allowed as specified on the structure sheet for the WSOP Event. Participants may re-enter these Events by registering at the WSOP Registration area or through the online registration system. Participants must have zero (0) chips remaining to re-enter, or be subject to disqualification. At the end of the registration period for all re-entry Events, Participants will be given the option to forfeit their current stack and pay to re-enter. All Participants who re-enter will receive a full starting stack. Participants who re-enter will be considered a new Participant to the Event.

OK -- so playing day 1B after you played on day 1A would be considered a "re-entry" and you must have zero chips. That makes sense. thanks.

To avoid (my own) confusion:Playing 1B after playing 1A, either because you busted OR chose to surrender stack, is allowed ONLY if the event allows re-entry.

Correct?

Main event is a freezeout.

He is not asking about MAIN Event. He is asking in general. The original question by KevinGChapman was about Seniors.

Someone else may have answered between when you posted and i replied, but in years past, it was a purchase on each card I used.

Cannot speak to this year since I skipped the nonsense. Still will be in Las Vegas but my funds are going to and through Circa on multiple treks from Texas.

How has the lammer action been? Buying and selling? There's been virtually no chatter about it.

I walked into the main registration room, explained the lammers were good for $500 when registering any tournament, but not refundable for cash, and kindly a lady in line spoke up and vouched for what I was saying. I immediately unloaded mine at face value, as did another guy who followed me in the room also looking to sell.

Wow, that's amazing. They used to be downright militant about trying to prevent you from selling. I've had employees scream at me in the halls and security chase me away from going anywhere near the registration line, much less go inside.

The other guy who followed me in had been hovering around outside the room trying to be subtle. So maybe normally people are chased out and I just got lucky. I just did it once, can't make any generalizations.

I'm only shooting one bullet into Colossus day 1B (Saturday). Friday looked like a mess, here's hoping Saturday isn't as bad.

How do we find out if it's going to start on time? Watch on twitter I guess?

Are there any free streams for the wsop?

PokerGo had a couple they had for free, but you need to sub to get the majority. The Main Event coverage starts Thursday, only if you sub.

I'm know a bit of a grinch and also getting older and shaking my fist at clouds, but I cannot stand most of the commentary I hear lately. And I pretty uniformly hate streamed poker that does shout outs to viewers or begs for likes or clicks or whatevers. The one free streamed pokergo WSOP event that I watched was not good - commentators talking nonsense over the table talk... It is basically turning me off from watching these poker games at all. Which I guess isn't bad, all things considered. Definitely would not pay for a pokergo sub at this point. But good luck to them I guess.

Made it to day 2 of the Colossus and then went card dead.

Honestly think cash games during the WSOP are way better than praying to bink a WSOP event.

I am at the WSOP. So far I've played 2 events. The Colossus was a great tournament with a pretty good structure. The lines were pretty long. A long line to register 4 hours into the tournament and a long line to get seated. They need to have more people signing players up on these days. The way people play in this tournament is pretty bad. The biggest mistakes I see people making is stack size mistakes. Calling 30% or 40% of their stack preflop and folding flops.

The vaccine verification process was pretty easy. The line was relatively short.

They definitely need to improve their payout system. I min cashed the Colossus and first you have to go to one person and give your players card and ID. Then you have to go down the hall and wait in a very slow moving line to give your players card ID again and sign a form. Then wait in another line. Bad system.

For me the part i still haven't figured out is if I want to play wearing a mask or not. I am not anti-mask but i find it uncomfortable to be wearing a mask for so long. If I am going to be not wearing it 20% of the time at the table, what is the point of wearing it the other 80% when I am around the same players the entire time?

As described on wsop.com and posted earlier, please note the auto-cancel benefit for anyone planning to play multiple consecutive events. If you dont show up to an event by end of 3rd level, your registration is canceled as a no-show; go to main cashier or player services (or VIP if you are eligible) and get refunded.

Bankroll permitting, stand in line once upon arrival, register for all the events you desire to play, and let auto-cancel be your friend if you make it to Day 2 or Day 3 and cannot play in the new event starting that day.

Also, bankroll permitting, deposit funds into a TBIC account and use Bravo site to register or rebuy online, and use a kiosk to print seat ticket.

Time is a precious commodity, says a super senior; dont waste it standing in lines!

I don't know the current rules, but in years past, this auto-cancel feature could only be used once. After that, you were not refunded for future no-shows. Double-check before doing this more than once.

I don't understand the rule. Ruins integrity of the game by introducing free chips at some tables and disrupts overall play dynamics.

This is true. I'm not sure what their philosophy is either.
