I think it would help if more rec players stopped treating him like a celebrity and insisted he treats them with respect just as every other player is expected to do so. Maybe then the “oh, it’s just Phil being Phil” mentality will stop.

Website says you have to have final dose of vaccine 14 days prior to starting day. And uses wsop main event final day as an example. They state to play final day of main you need to have second dose by Oct 24th.

I obviously can’t buy into day 1D as I’m off by2 days on my final dose. But I also see players can enter on day2 combined flight on November 9th. Does anyone know if my Oct26th second dose would make me eligible to buyin and start on day 2?

Why don’t you take your 2nd dose 3/4 days early ? My first dose was 14 January and at time of 1st shot they gave me my 2nd shot appointment for Feb 11 . So I asked them that it’s not 4 weeks. The hospital said the guideline is 3 to 4 weeks so that’s fine.

Try to get 2nd shot appointment between 20th to 24th of October. You should be fine.

But back to your question. You should be ok to play on day 2CD. Last year 444 players registered on various day 2 before the start of level 8.

Based on Covid and existing travel restrictions at the time when original schedule released I was predicting 5500 participants for the main , compared to 8569 in 2019.

Now new update in travel restrictions and WSOP adding 2 more flights will make any substantial difference? Like 10 to 15 % overall ?

Yes if your 2nd dose is on 24th. You are clear for flight 1E or 1F .

In the next couple of days. Add 14 days and you are good... I have seen no hard information that supports a negative impact to this combo. It MAY exist but....

I would not mix vaccines without consulting doctor first, if that's what you're suggesting. These things are powerful and not to be messed with.

It says under Nov. 10 that there will be starting players on that date, but Nov. 9 is the final official starting flight. Which is it?

Registration is open till start of final day 2 . ( if the player didn’t played in any of starting day 1 flight ,A,B,C,D,E or F) . There are 2 day 2’s . November 9th(Day 2 A,B,D) and November 10th (Day 2 CEF) .

Technically any new players can register and play one of either days.

But as Day 1 F is also on 9th November I doubt any one will register on Day 2ABD.

There is no problem with mixing doctor-approved vaccines, as evidenced by millions of Canadians and other countries mixing AstraZeneca/Moderna/Pfizer. I had AstraZeneca + Pfizer, with no side effects - except for hating the anti-vax conspiracy theorists spreading misinformation during a global pandemic.

Those are all mRNA, right? The one guy was suggesting the J&J, which is NOT mRNA, and the guy in question already has a dose of mRNA in him.

Speaking of misinformation... only the Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines are mRNA based. The AstraZeneca vaccine, like the J and J and at least one out of China use adenoviral vectors to express DNA for encoding the spike protein.
