The three tournaments I mentioned all have roughly the same starting stack and blind levels. Based on that I am asking people who have played these particular events which one did you enjoy playing the most? In your opinion which offered the best value if you indeed ran deep and at the same time which did you have the most fun playing?
Thanks
I've played all three but the Collosal only the first year. I didn't play it again because the WSOP was extremely disorganized with running it, although I pre-registered and the worst of it didn't affect me, but mostly because the structure was bad. My understanding is that the structure was improved, but I didn't play it last year because of when it was scheduled.
I've played the MS a couple times, and the big stack allows you to make a few moves without crippling yourself, but if they don't pay off, you still need to catch some cards and I didn't. I will say the competition in general is quite a bit better in the early going, probably because of the bigger buy-in. The BF is the easiest to try for a bracelet because of the buy-in, but it's tough because of the length of it (5 days?). It's not easy to maintain discipline for that long. You have to run really deep (at least Day 4) to cash for a meaningful amount.
If you're in it for mostly the fun but still want a shot at a bracelet, I'd say do BF. If you're in it for the money, and play well enough to realistically expect to win money, I'd say MS. They're far enough apart to do both.
