He's lucky they gave him the pot. The general rule is that once the pot is pushed, the hand is over.

As opposed to the "hand is tabled and as long as we catch it before the next hand is dealt we can correct the mistake" ?? It was the last hand before the break so plenty of time.

Still don't know if he was eventually found to come back or if he was blinded out. Finished something like 200th.

I like your deal better, and I don't know the WSOP rule, but generally the rule is as I mentioned.

Just go down to the satellite area and see what's running. If there's no O8, ask someone in a suit to start one.

Hi Bill, I've never attempted to play the WSOP, but if I wanted to try to satty into Sunday's 1500 Razz, is it as simple as showing up in the morning and asking for one to get one running? Are there usually sattys for whatever discipline is running that day?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Often, not much runs in the morning. Go over to the Pavilion satellite area around noon the day before the event. If you don't see any razz satellites, find someone in a suit and ask about it.

In a tournament, you have to protect the entire field not just the players in a hand. Awarding a pot to the wrong person affects everyone in the field. Since the winning hand was tabled and the next hand had not been dealt yet, it is 100% correct to award the pot to the winner. And, it is as much about the other player not getting those chips as is it about the winner getting them.

Anyone know how many tier credits you get per dollar spent for buying into wsop events? I could only find a chart for reward credits online. Thanks
