This is true I think for all events but Big 50.

Except for the Big50. Not sure why they’re doing it differently for the Bug50 but they are. Your stack goes into play when you get there, but if you’re not there by the beginning of level 3 you’re picked up, refunded, and can’t play that flight

Because they want to be able to know how many empty seats they have available and don’t want people clogging up seats. They’ve done the same for Colossus and other tourneys where sellout is possible.

As long as you play the low end $125-$175 STTs, it is hard for me to believe this should ever be an issue.

The problem is, that you cannot multi-table live STTs.

The 'fast' structure, the low buy in, the ROI you realistically can reach, the time it takes to start an STT - after all players are seated - and the wait to get into a new STT when you bust, makes it barely worth for any decent players to grind these.

You will always be facing a mix of players with no understanding of ICM, and a few online STT grinders. IMO, ROIs in excess of 15% are not realistic.

Meaning, at $175 level, only on the best days will your hourly be above $25.

With the fast structure/high variance it should be quite possible to put a full week of play in and still find yourself in the red, even as a winning player.

Unless you are a mid/high limit pro, I suggest you think of WSOP STTs as a fun distraction, and a good way of getting used to handling the cards and practicing reads. Run hot or go back to cash games, before you start steaming.

Right, the "pros" that play them, play 525's and 1050's.

So if I register monster stack 1b the night before in person, my stack goes in play at start? That sucks. I don't want to play 6 hours where starting stack is > 100bbs. They went way overboard with the structure.

But I don't want to deal with ling lines /possible seell out the day of. Maybe if I'm not looking to reg until a couple hours in there won't be lines? Never played MS before.

Set up an account in advance. Pay the $3 fee and reg when you’re ready at the kiosk.

If you don't want to play deep, why would you enter a deep stacked tournament?

Can you please point me to the other 1500 with 7000 entries and 1mm to first? Seriously?

Also the structure is way beyond what even a deep stack tournament should be.

On the website you can click Tournaments, view available tournament clocks, and click the one you want.

Friggin' awesome, although I doubt it's accurate always, it shows Big Fitty Flight A in level 27. Thanks, carlo!

This tool that Coco put together last year and again this year is absolutely fantastic for seeing all of the Events around Las Vegas that are available.

You can narrow your choices so effectively and easily to see what fits your personal criteria with very little effort.

It is an absolute must to use if you are open to non WSOP play and are spending any amount of time in LV during that time period.

He deserves SOOOOOOOOOOOO many Kudo's for his effort. It honestly is that good of a tool for a serious rec player.

Sadly, all of the NLHE events have embraced that crap.
