Re: 2019 WSOP schedule

So, you seem to be able to late reg the main this year on day 2. How will this impact the classic "which starting flight is best" debate?

Re: 2019 WSOP schedule

hey guys odd question but

for the smaller events like colossus, big50 or a 1k event, are fields softer on FRIDAYS or SATURDAYS? which day 1 would be better? what do you guys think? particulary the big50, I know this is odd but was just wondering your guys' thoughts.

I assume it would be saturday since more people can join since its a weekend?

Off the top of my head weekends would offer more donkers trying to make the field. However many people attending are specifically booking the time in vegas as a regular summer holiday.

Usually, weekends bring larger and softer fields.
good luck

Re: 2019 WSOP schedule

if I try to register thursday night around midnight for BIG 50 to play sunday or saturday will I be good to go or do I need to do so earlier?

I would hate to book a flight and get there to register only to be turned away

Deepest structure for a $500 event I have ever seen by a long shot. ( A good thing) On par with a 3k NL WSOP event from 2018. If it comes back in 2020, likely it will be cut shorter. ( A bad thing, but understandable. )

Re: 2019 WSOP schedule

For what its worth I am against big blind ante but calculating the big 50 is enlightening.

If the player doesn't play a hand, in this tournament , he will run out of chips at about level #10. Compared to others I have calculated in the past at wsop and other sites you would expect chips to run out at about level #'s 6-7 and occasionally #5.

The calculation is accomplished using an assumed 3 rounds or 27 hands per 50 minutes. The calculation is best used as a comparison device with respect to other tournaments as apposed to an absolute quality.

Plog had a high number for this tournament and this calculation confirms the same.

I still am against big blind ante for the same quality can and has been accomplished with the conventional method without the deficiencies of the new method. What we are talking of here is the structure which is divorced from the collection of antes which can be manipulated in each method.

Ok, its a good structure . Thanx.

Well, I should hope the structure is deep. Itís scheduled for 5 days. Iím not sure iíve ever heard of a 5 day tourney for $500, so it should definitely be unique.

thanks for your thoughts. I cant wait to see that website with updated s points, that being said, glad i am hearing things like this, I hope big 50 is my first ever WSOP tourney. I love deep structures and since i cant afford the cash to play in any big tourneys, I love how this is a cheap rather "deep structure". I am against big blind ante 100x % as well

I saw somewhere that it was scheduled over 7 days

Does this mean 4 day 1's and then a day 2, day 3, day 4 = 7 days?

Can anyone tell me the actual days for the big 50, especially when the final table plays out? Thanks all

Event online registration will open in March/April, after all events have been confirmed and approved.

Do you know about the fees associated with online registration?
I checked their website and it says there is a 2.95% fee using a credit card... Does it mean that using a debit card is free? Is it even possible?
Also there is a 3$ fee for using the service.

==>Can someone explain what is the best way to register online and pay the minimum amount of fees?

Thanks.

Re: 2019 WSOP schedule

Now that the entire WSOP schedule is out --- I hope Venetian or someone takes advantage of all these low buy-in's and schedules mid-range ($1.5-$3k) buy in tourneys. Sucks that WSOP has become $1k's & $10k's with very little in between.

i think their midrange selection is fine, 1.5ks and 3ks are still available at wsop

1.5k isnt mid. i would say he means they are lacking the 2500-5k range

Re: 2019 WSOP Hotel Deal

MGM just posted some special room rates, which are available during WSOP period.

M life Rewards VIP Services at 800.633.7777. Mention offer: CI340578

I just booked three nights at Excalibur for $225 including resort fees and taxes for June 12-15 for Seniors event. If you have not booked rooms and are looking for some low rates/deals, all the MGM properties are included in this special offer (most higher rates than Excalibur)

I'm pretty sure at a minimum the Venetian will hold its 3.5K and 5K NLH events. If you're talking mixed games, I doubt you will find much in that range outside the WSOP, unless you're looking for like 1 or 2 table events.

Full schedule (No structures yet)

https://www.cardplayer.com/poker-new...or-summer-2019
I did find this little nugget at the end of the press release of interest for Fill in play around the true events.

Like the bracelet events of 2019, the Daily Deepstacks will also utilize the big-blind ante this year. A new addition to the non-bracelet Deepstacks event schedule in a weekly $250 pot-limit Omaha event at 5:00 p.m. on Sundays and a weekly $250 Seniors (50+) no-limit hold’em, held at 9:00 a.m. each Wednesday throughout the series.
