Random question: i'll get to the WSOP with 10k$ in my pocket and don't want to have to carry it around like last year. How easy is it to change those 10k$ to 10*1k chips? Any cage can do this?

It isn't against you at all but I am wondering: Why would anyone buy lamers at face value?

Say for some reason I change my mind and decide to shorten my stay or something. I would then have lamers I cannot exchange against money (or can you exchange them?)

So buying lamers is not as convenient as chips or cash. Right?

If the reasoning above is correct, do ppl sell their lamers at face value or at a discount?

Most people sell at face value or very small discount. The idea is that an active and robust satellite economy benefits all players in bracelet events by increasing the prize pools and getting players into the event who normally wouldn't play and are theoretically weaker.

That said, of course it wouldn't make sense to buy at face value if you weren't sure you were going to actually use them. Usually it is players in line to reg an event who buy at full price.

At Last years WSOP I paid

Paid $950 for $1000 lammers
Paid 1400 for $1500 lammers

Seemed like a decent deal to me as I was 99% sure they were real when I did (seemed identical to the ones I had won) on both occasions.

I am always just a little bit cautious and I literally saw one guy getting "paid" so short of a sleight of hand I knew they were real. I am always looking over my shoulder in Las Vegas when it comes to "deals" and caution anyone buying lammers that the old saying of "if it looks to good to be true" is something to keep in mind.

Last year I typically sold at a 10% discount and towards the end of my trip it was more like 15-20%. And it took me hours and hours to do it. It gets depressing to hear people say "no" for an hour straight. Worse than when I was in high school.

Buying lammers makes the satellites much worse, since you encourage decent players to grind them.

After winning my first satellite I legit had a guy walk up to me without even me asking and offered me full price. That was early in the series, but I’ve never had issues

There are 3 things I'm looking for and have been unable to find on the WSOP site. If anyone can post a link I would appreciate it, and apologize if I have overlooked it in this thread.

(1) 2019 Daily deepstack structures. I'm sure I saw them somewhere, but can't find now.

(2) 2019 WSOP Payout calculator. The past few years this has been available at wsop.com. Perhaps they have not finalized it yet. Here is link to last year:

http://www.wsop.com/2018/payoutcalculator/

(3) 2019 Mega satellite structures. I could swear these were on WSOP.com earlier, but cannot find now.

Thanks

If you pre-reg a WSOP event do they put your stack in play when the tourny starts or do you get a fresh stack when you show up? Thanks!

Every late registration or re-buy will start with full stack

I think what he is asking is do you start with full stack if you registered early but show up late, like 2nd level?

I "think" you start with a full stack whenever you show up, even if registered days before. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I can't correct anyone but it seems that if you preregister via credit card or wire your stack will be placed upon the table only if you had also picked up your ticket.

If registering in person 3 days before, along with obtaining your seat/table they will place the stack at that table and take from that stack even if you haven't showed up, as of yet.

If they don't, who are these people who have their stacks diminished via the blinds as they come in late ? People who do buy in late do get a full stack as they come in late.

For the 9:00 a.m. start time for the Wednesday Senior, I seriously doubt that there will be long lines at the registration cage.

When do you think they will announce the full pokergo streaming schedule? Hopefully they continue with the mixed games again this year!

Question about registering for the Daily $250 1pm Deepstacks:

I plan on playing in at least 2 of the 4 $70 Big50 mega satty's from May 28th-May31st that net you $500 in lammers and $40 in cash if you win. If I happen to win twice or more, I plan on using my first $500 for the Big50 and the other(s) for the daily deepstacks.

My question is, can I register for the Daily $250 1pm Deepstacks far out in advance? For example could I use that other $500 lammer to register for say a $250 daily deepstack on June 1st and one on July 3rd, for example?

Thanks!

I think you can sell your $500 lammer to someone in the queue and then doing whatever you want with your cash
