The most difficult part is the technical verification that you're playing in NV. They use IP tracking to determine your physical location, which is sketchy at best. When I was talking to their tech support, their stuff was showing I was in California, when I was at the Gold Coast, using hotel internet, right across the freakin' street from the WSOP! Never was able to get approved.

I have a few questions about the satty's, specifically the $70 satty for the Big 50.

I see the $70 satty's start on May 28th at 12pm and the $140 at 4pm. Am I assuming correctly that each of these are just one big satellite tournament where the number of entries given out for the Big 50 will be dependent on the total amount of entries received into the satty? Or are these single table satty's where 1 satty winner comes from each table and are constantly ongoing throughout the day?

Also, if it is one big satty tournament, where do I find the structure? I've been on wsop.com site and didnt see any info on the satellites.

Thanks.

The 70's are probably single table, where the winner gets 1 lammer and some cash. I would guess the 140 is a multi-table of some sort, no idea of the payout.

No idea if I could do that, but it would be even less likely to be able to pinpoint your physical location. Who knows where your phone company is connecting to the internet? Could be a building in Las Vegas, or it could be a building in Minnesota.

I didn’t anticipate that it would be difficult to play a WSOP.com bracelet event in Las Vegas lol. Maybe I’ll give it a second thought.

A vpn is the opposite of what you want. WSOP.com wants to trace your ip back to get a location. A vpn seeks to hide it.

How worthwhile are the SNGs for lammers? I played one of the $125s last year and it was so fast that there was barely any room for play. If you're looking to buy into a $1k bracelet event, is it worthwhile to sit there for a day and grind those $125-175 SNGs for the lammers?

Proper play in SNG's is just another skill set to master in poker. If you have little to no experience from online play or other live tourney events then treat them as a fun relatively low cost distraction.

While personally I have had good success with them I can clearly tell the Lammer grinders from the Rec players at the table and adjust my own play accordingly. I am FAR FAR FAR from an expert SNG player but I do find them fun if somewhat frustrating. If you choose to play them I suggest you pay special attention to the participants in the ever present last longer bets and who is initiating them. It has been my experience that impacts the play styles quite a bit specially when a few people have been eliminated.

There's still a great deal of luck involved, and there's always "one of those" clueless luckboxes that stumbles into winning 3 or 4 hands they had no business winning.

for mini-main event, the structure sheet says 2 day event but only specifies that the first day is monday july 1. Is it fair to assume day 2 is the very next day?

I think you're just overvaluing the skill component of poker. It's still gambling.

It seems pretty standard for tournaments in a room that uses Bravo to require a player card. Some benefits include tracking players, making sure that you don't register more often than allowed, and getting your name to print on your receipt.

May try the Bravo online bankwire option this year for a pretty big schedule.

Hoping someone can clarify some things for me.

I will be regging in advance for 20+ events, obviously I wont be able to play them all, and may have to switch some starting days around. In the WSOP bravo registration tutorial it shows a picture of a button to unreg from the tournament. That's cool. But where do the funds go? Are they still in my account and can I then use those funds to reg for a different flight, or even a different event?

You can deposit and cash out at the Rio main cage (not the poker room cage). Might be a slight delay in when u can receive your money but never more than a few hours. I've played a bracelet event on my phone before

You should check as to where the cancelled funds go: check the site as to just how you get your funds back for they may go back to your credit card. This may not be what you want.

There's no reason to register many tournaments if you are using the credit card through Bravo. As per the instructions, once you have registered for one tournament with the card you can use the same card for all other events.

Register for your earliest tournament--go to Vegas and complete registration and go from there.

I can tell you that if you wire monies for registration I had to take casino chips for a refund but there was no problem cashing them in through the main teller.

Also in my case, the rule said funds returned as you deposited which one would expect the Rio to wire my funds back (expensive,...) but they did give me cash.
