Hello . I am a casual poker player. Last 3 Year I played Colossus every year . For $565 it was great WSOP experience for me. Many of my professional friend did not like colossus because of structure, starting stack etc.
I think WSOP listened and learn from declining attendance from colossus.
i think Big 50 will generate greater interest from casual players like me and many of low and mid level Professional .
There will be many who still will not like Big 50. But whoever wants to experience WSOP in very moderate budget this will be a great oppertunity.
I hope many knowledgeable 2+2er will be around to answer if you have any question about technical questions about Big 50.

1, WSOP expecting to start 5000 player every day ,based on that and structure sheet (12 Level) how many player will be left after Day 1. ?

2, Based on above guesstimate at what point we reach 1500 (Min cash) on 2nd Day (Level 13-20) ?

3, You think due to change in structure and starting stack , will it reach as expected by WSOP Over 20000 total entree.

i am staying at Gold cost and Rio. But if you have any question regarding other hotels many experience 2+2 members can guide you here.

I am voting for over 15000 participants

I am going to miss this one as not in Vegas until 21st but will play the low stakes buyins that week. Bit gutted as this one looks like a lot of fun.
I’ve played colossus and crazy 8’s over last few years. These were my first cracks at wsop and I was surprised by some of the snobbiness from pros at the table.

Biggest thing interesting me for this 500 and the other low buyins is the larger starting stacks.

Will people lose their minds and we’ll see huge all ins early doors or will play remain unchanged and just see a lot more day 2 participants?

I'd guess around 30% or 1500 per day if there are 5000, maybe a little less.

Money reached around level 15 or 16.

Honestly with the better structure and no rake on first buy-in, plus the prestige the WSOP is trying to push with this being the 50th WSOP, I could see this overtaking the original Colossus (22k+). In fact there may be a chance of being shut out if you don't register early enough, especially in the last two flights.

With Improved starting stack and rake free first buy-in it has to do better than that. My guess is over 20,000.

All flights are able to seat approximately 4,800 entries at the start of play.

I think walk in registration will start from April 12th.

I'm officially regged for Flight D. The $17.50 credit card fee was extremely worth not having to mess with trying to get registered during the tourney, or the slight chance D sells out before I arrive, and will allow me to skip the line and re-enter with my card again if needed.

And that's without factoring in that I earned rewards. Super glad they added this option.

Ditto. Pre-registered for 1C yesterday.

You have to be their within 2 levels or they pick you up. So you can’t late reg which sucks. I’ll register day of and avoid the fee and be able to register end of level 7 like I want to

For flight D I would not count on being able to walk up and reg L7. Do you mean you want to arrive at the table at the end of L7?

I want to register at level 7 and then walk to my table. Since there’s only one flight per day I would expect to not have an issue. I’ve late regged colossus right before dinner break and didn’t have a problem as long as it was the last flight of the day. For colossus if you were trying to reg the early flight late (when people were also reffing for the afternoon flight) it was brutal, but late regging the later flight usual is doable without a large line

The structure for this is exponentially better than Colossus. I’m serious in that you might not be able to do it. Plus all the people trying to re-enter (which I will be able to do at the kiosk instead of the line).

You’re missing heaps of value by skipping early levels in events like this but you do you! GL!

I’m not sure if you can late reg online. I would consider doing that and paying the fee so I didn’t have to wait in whatever line that is there. There’s differing opinions on late regging obviously, but for me I think its the best approach. Thursday I’m max late regging, with like 5 min to go before registration closes and seeing what I can do. Then Friday I want to be in by the end of level 7. Then Saturday and Sunday I don’t exactly know what the plan is. But I’ll be in one way or another

You can buyin at whatever point as long as you have had your credit card verified/authorized. But yes if you buyin before it starts, they will unreg you at Level 2 so other people can have the spots.

And playing in a tourney that will be super rec-heavy and missing out on the opportunity to have them punting 250 bigs to you seems terribad.

If I reg. w/ an Amex CC how many points do I get ? (500?)

Also if I miss my flight because of airport issues do I lose my entry/money?

I arrive on the 29th, do you think I'd have trouble registering 1 day before in person?

No idea on AMEX points. You can get the buyin reimbursed but not the $17.50 service fee or whatever they call it. You should be fine registering in person for the 5/30 flight on 5/29.

Are you able to re-enter or late reg from the bravo app? If I were to bust in level 3 would I be able to get on the phone and re enter and then just go to one of the kiosks? Sorry, I’m new to the whole online registration thing. I usually just register at the cage the night before but if you bust early and want to re enter it’s such a pain in the ass. I waited over an hour and a half a few times last year to re enter some events and I can imagine it will be much worse for the Big 50.
