Not holding a Vegas ME over Thanksgiving weekend like last year. Smart.

No, just November and January. The July stop is new this year.

Last year, the WPT was in July and there was no spring series. In previous years the spring series was either CPPT or PNIA.

35 stops is a lot going to need way more pts than ever to get top 50

How far in advance are the even schedules generally released? I see the Foxwood schedule just came out - are the schedules generally released that close to the series? It's be nice to plan trips in advance, but obv is difficult without more detail.

Some come out a few months in advance while others are literally just a few weeks in advance. It really sucks for those who want to plan the travel but want to go somewhere that is not a NLHE-fest where the only thing that changes from one event to the other is the price-point or starting stack. There was a point in time where you could count on some mixed games at almost every stop, but they are few and far between now.

I wish I were based in the US, I would've played on each of these tournaments.

The WSOP is expected to offer a record 35 stops on U.S. soil during the 2019-20, all linked by a points system tied to the WSOP gold-bracelet awarding, $1,000,000+ prize pool.

This is just unprecedented, loved it!

Keep the poker awesome!

Do all events give out a ring?

No, but they usually say on the schedule if it's a ring event or not.

Law changed this year and now they can hold Poker Tourneys in the Riverdome. Perfect space to hold a big poker event like the circuit.

But I liked playing in the roof tent especially when you had to evacuate due to weather.

On wsop.com click on menu. Then click on circuit schedule button. A list of all the circuit stops shows up. Click on one you want and should have a list of events. Should be able to click on each event for progress and results.

How do the WSOPC 1,700$ Main Events play compares to online tournaments? My experience has been that the 400/600$ events play like a 5 or 11$ online tournament but haven’t played a main yet and curious so hear what people’s experience has been.

If anything the mains are softer, yes there are like 10-30 guys depending on the size of the stop that show up just for the main but some of them are just lucky and not that good anyway.

The mains are softer than the 400/600$ events? Foxwoods has a 600$, 500K GTD, 400$, 80K GTD, and Main is $1,700, 500K GTD. I’d be surprised if the Main was as soft was the 600$ tournament. Expecting the main to get 400-500 runners and the 600$ one got ~1,750 runners.

More entries does not preclude the event from being softer...remember also that those numbers are not always unique entrants given the fire early and fire often mentality that infected the WSOP...

Wondering the same thing.
I’m assuming it’s in their convention center space (upstairs?), but don’t know for sure.

Anyone?

Hey Everyone,

We have been informed that Brandon Turner is attempting to play in both the Choctaw and CircuitChat tournaments and will be trying to sell action.

As a friendly reminder/ warning make sure to be careful when deciding to buy a package from him. At this moment Brandon owes us 2k USD and has ignored us for nearly 2 months when we've attempted to receive payment. Read here if you want to know more: https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/s...postcount=4670

I'd recommend staying away from him/ informing your friends the same whom may be considering to buy a tournament package from him.

Goodluck everyone!

You're not losing your mind. I suspect it didn't work out from logistics or regulation (just like Cleveland stops being announced and disappearing back in the day).

Although the 2019-2020 WSOP Circuit press release still lists the Bossier City Stop (2/27-3/10), all other remnants have been removed.

I was actually looking forward to the stop too.
