At first i was a little diappointed, but actually now i think that may be a good change, the even is pretty deep at start, and this change may put a more brisk pace - and you probably get into the money early in day 2?

Trying to figure out the best time for me to come.

This allows us to play 12 levels and still finish around midnight, which will bring everyone closer to the money.
This is a better structure IMO.

Not a fan of the weaker structures. Hopefully this will not be the case this summer.

Ticket booked ... arriving on sunday 25th and plan to play through the 3150 event.

Is there an email address for the wynn poker room to email to get reservation made on the poker room rate? or should I just call the poker room?

Hi Ricardo. You can email poker.reservations@wynnlasvegas.com or phone our coordinator, Kelly, at 702-770-3099. See you then!

thanks for being so active and helpful, Wynn Poker Rep.

I apologize for all of the questions, but just to clarify, regarding the Wynn Poker room rate, it is $119 during the week and $199 on the weekend for six hours of cash game play, correct? Is there a certain level of tournament buy-in that would also qualify for the rate?

I assume one must also add a $34.95 resort fee to that, or is it included in the rates above already?

I only ask because Poker Atlas seems to list there as being no resort fee and that struck me as a little surprising if true.

Also, does the guest get to choose to stay at Wynn or Encore, or is the offer limited to just Wynn?

Thanks for the insight.

Hi Art, thanks for the questions. The more the merrier!

The poker rate is $119 Sunday-Thursday and $199 Friday-Saturday. The resort fee and tax will be added to those rates.

Each tournament that you play of the Wynn Classic does satisfy one night of poker rate (in lieu of 6 hours cash game play), and yes, you may choose between the Wynn and Encore as long as both are available.

Feel free to call our room Coordinator at 702-770-3099 with questions or to assist with your reservation.

Hi all. Slightly embarrassed here but in my haste to reply I made an error. The poker rate is $129 Sunday-Thursday and $199 Friday-Saturday plus resort fee and tax.

I apologize for the error.

Hello,
Do you have structure sheets available for the Spring Series? I’m not seeing them with the schedule online. Thanks

Thanks for the question. They will be posted the first week of Feb, but there's good reason for that. We will be using the BB ante for the first time in our upcoming Signature Weekend (Jan 24-28), and would like to gauge feedback prior to the Spring Classic.

We really feel it is the future of poker tournaments, but want to make sure we have it just right prior to introducing it during a Wynn Classic Event. As it stands now, we have both our traditional structures and our BB ante structures ready to release. We are confident that players will love the change, but are waiting just to be sure.

In the meantime, you're welcome to have a look at the BB ante structures for the Signature event. They would be very close (if not the same) for the daily events plus the $600/$250,000 guarantees if we decide to continue for the Wynn Classic. The structures for the Championship and $3150 would be different.

You might want to add to the ante rules to take into account the final table. No reason you can't do it the way it is written, but it seems off to have the button post a huge relative ante when short-handed and more so when heads-up.

Best wishes, Greg Raymer (FossilMan)

Hi Greg, thanks for the discussion. I assume you meant "blind" above, just wanted to clarify for others.

We have been looking into a few options when the final table gets short (4-5 handed), as well as HU and will let you know how it goes.

Are the structure sheets going to indicate which are traditional and which are the crappy 'new way'? It would really suck to enter and then find out that it was not a traditional ante...

Have you tried looking at the structure sheets for the upcoming signature weekend?

Of course. We thought that was a good idea too.

Also, I have spoken to several "non believers" who just returned from LAPC. They were happy to admit that they were wrong. Hopefully, we'll be able to put you in that category after you have played an event that uses the BB Ante.

So are you saying that in level 1, the small blind will pay 100 and the big blind will pay a total of 200, and in round 4, the small blind will pay 100 and the big blind will pay 600? I am always open to trying a new structure, but I would imagine that recreational players will be less interested as it poses a threat to their game strategy and knowledge while professionals and grinders will have an advantage by understanding the differences in structure and being able to adapt faster.

I consider myself a "non-believer" at this point. Will you be collecting empirical evidence on what this will actually gain?

for what its worth, I did my "count the chips used up" using 2 rounds per 30 minutes and the Wynn single ante was frighteningly close to the Planet Hollywood structure in the other thread; mildly fast early only to smooth out at levels 10 and 11.

The Planet Hollywood usage is 3600, 11,250, and 35,850 at levels 4, 7 and 11 respectively. The Wynn (400) is 3600, 11,000, and 34,000 .

Guess what , boys (and ladies) these guys appear to be working from the same playbook.

For those who didn't read the other thread the count consisted of 2 rounds per 30 minutes and the blinds and antes were counted per player , totally as we go along.

Just for comparison, the Aria 240 was 2700. 12150 and 51750, slower early but speedo later on, again.

Would be nice to get structure sheets out ASAP, especially with competition from Wsop & Venetian at the same time, this delay could hurt ur numbers.

Hi Coug, finalizing now. They will be posted early next week, if not by this week's end. The structure for both the $250k will be exactly as the Signature that we just ran. Lots of positive feedback for the dailies using the BB ante also.

We never scrimp on good structures, not to worry!

Hi Greg. These were the rules we went with during the recent Signature Event, and the feedback was very positive. Two of the three events we ran played all the way down to a winner. Reducing the ante and then removing it HU gave them a lot of play down the stretch. I have heard others in the industry advocate for keeping the antes all the way through to induce action, but we ultimately chose to air on the side of caution to ensure they got maximum play when it mattered most.
  • When the Final Table reaches four-handed play, the Ante amount will be reduced to the equivalent of the Small Blind.
  • With two players remaining, the Ante will be removed.

Hope to see everyone for the Wynn Spring Classic starting on Feb. 19!
