I remember playing a very good PLO event at Wynn, with 40-minute levels and a final table on day 2, hope you can offer such a great structure.
Hi Jack8. The PLO will be a very good single day event. Probably 12-14 hours of play depending of field size. There is a WSOP PLO the day before and the day after, so in our experience a single day will work better for everyone's schedule.

Thanks for your support!

The Championship Event is always 3 days, so there is never a shortage of play.

With all the changes to the WSOP schedule this year, this will be the latest we have ever held our Championship (furthest away from the Main). While we hope everyone will plan to stay through the WSOP "Closer", which means they would be likely to play our Championship first, there is still a certain fear of the unknown. The $1.5M is still $500k more than last year!

This was a very challenging summer to plan with so many changes to the WSOP and the offerings of other venues. We always do our best to schedule our events with players in mind, trying to give everyone maximum summer value and the chance to create a schedule that allows them to support all venues.

We're confident that we accomplished that goal this year, and if all goes well, then the guarantee next year will continue to grow.

Have a great summer!

Isn't it amazing how often Vegas poker rooms/managers overpromise and underdeliver on when these schedules will be released? Seriously, it's probably 90 percent of the time. I nearly fainted at how early the WSOP schedule came out for this year...

I agree about the overpromise part. However this is just too harsh. A lot of times there are things TDs have to contend with that are out of their control. They need to get authorization to change casino space and/or coordinate things with security/food and beverage/marketing, etc. And even if a schedule is completely done, it can take a surprisingly long time for IT to get the schedule available electronically.

I'm never surprised by how melodramatic poker players can be

It’s about integrity though.

I don't think so. Its about organization. One can have the former, and be lacking (relatively speaking) in the latter. Like I said, I am in agreement that TDs tend to overpromise. And if players get frustrated when they fail to deliver, that is fine. As is holding a grudge against a TD when their overpromising/under delivering is screwing with one's plans. But it really shouldn't be a personal thing leading to attacks on their integrity.

Whatever the case, I will back the Wynn Poker Reps here. I live in San Diego (Carlsbad) but travel to Vegas 3-4 times a year for poker. Wynn's tournaments are far and away the best run events I have ever played in. Structure, Dates, Service, Knowledge, Food, Atmosphere, etc are all exceptional quality. I can only attribute this to the directors and poker representatives doing their best to accommodate the players. At this point, I almost exclusively play at the Wynn.

That being said, I really really want to see that schedule so I can book my trip.

I concur with Jason. Wynn runs the best tournaments and are typically totally straight forward and honest. Let’s hive them a break as they may of had an issue or emergency

^^^This^^^

It's not like they don't want to release the schedule, $hit happens, I'm sure we'll get the schedule by end of week.

Hi all, sorry for the delay. We spotted a small typo yesterday morning on our final check and are waiting for the clean version to come back from our graphics department.

If you have a specific day you are looking for go ahead and ask away and I can tell you what we're running.

Otherwise, really hoping they send it back by the EOD to publish.

If you had to guess, what would you say the 6/16 1M gaurantee prize pool ends up being?

anyone standing up for the wynn in regards to overpromising and undelivering is missing the point. Don't make promises you can't keep. Don't make commitments you can't fulfill.
The Wynn serves up the best poker in town, there's no doubt about it. But thats irrelevant in regards to this matter.

We ran the same event last year at the exact same time, but with four starting days instead of this years three. It had 2,320 players for a prize pool just under $2.3M.

We will have more tables than last year, so I would estimate roughly the same numbers over 3 starting days.
