Real early for this but WSOP has already released their schedule. Please consider the following.

1) Have your seniors event on the following Monday, the 18th, instead of the Monday prior to the WSOP Seniors
2) Have a second survivor mid summer. A great tournament to reload the bank account.
3) Add another multi-day entry tournament. The couple you did last year were huge.

Thanks and continue doing a great job.

By the way, when is the Spring Classic?

First things first, what about the Wynn Classic in Feb?

Probably because there are more people who are trying to actually plan for the summer events...not everyone travels for the non-summer Series and of those that do, the timing of the seniors events is perhaps more critical.

How about an Omaha hi-lo limit tournament. You had one a few years ago, because I enjoyed it immensely, however I keep looking every year and all you have in Hold'em.

I have sent the tournament director a followup letter from last year suggesting a senior extravaganza of events, It would be Monday - Thursday of the week leading to the WSOP senior event Friday. His response to me at the time when he responded was quite positive. He stated perhaps next year. (2018)
Basically it would be 4 days of events leading up to the Friday with exclusive senior cash games and SNG`s, tournies. etc etc etc. Theres much more in the concept but this gives the general feel.
Lets hope the room responds.
Oh A little support would be beneficial because I know the poker room will be checking 2+2 tournament forums.

I have heard back from Ryan and there seems to be an interest. As to what degree I am uncertain. But the flame is lit.

Thanks! We will take it all into consideration. Historically, our Seniors event starts the "Seniors Week", why would you prefer it after the WSOP?

Historically, the V runs a 2 days Seniors Event in this time frame.

I come for the majority of the summer but a lot of Seniors come in mid week. I believe the turnout for a Monday after tournament will do real well. Also, the WSOP has a lot going the weekend before and the Marathon on Monday. They have nothing special on the Monday after the Seniors.

I think the point is that my suggestion is not a generic form. Lets be clear not all tournament events are created equal. Its what is being offered that is paramount. Sadly we live in a non creative apathetic society so anything outside of generic would get passed over. My thoughts are to stand alone from the crowd. All the best guys in your summer planning.

@PokerRep, looking forward to coming to the 2018 Wynn Spring Classic. Do you plan on having any of your bigger events midweek rather than on the weekend? I can never stay weekends but would love to play in a championship event or one of your top events such as a $250k or $500k event.

Thanks for putting on such a great series.

Hi Jason,

Thanks for the support! It's still a little early to say where our multi-days and Championship will fall. We certainly hope to improve on last years schedule and put out something for everyone. Please check back in Feb. and we will have a better outline for the Summer.

In the meantime our Spring Classic (Feb 19-Mar 11) schedule will be coming out shortly and have a nice $250K that falls midweek. Hope to see you there!

Given the WSOP schedule is out and the V will be out soon you could help travel planning by releasing early as well.

I certainly understand everyone's enthusiasm and would love to get it out asap. Realistically however, it's going to take some time.

With guarantees going up every year, it's increasingly important for venues to create schedules that work in harmony with others. That is what gives players the best variety of options and buy-ins also.

On the bright side, we should be out significantly earlier than last year.

Hi Hendricks. The dates are set 2/19 - 3/11. Schedule should be published this week. It looks like the Championship will be a $1M gtd this year and we're finalizing the addition of a $3200 two day event!

Stay tuned, I will post here as well as on Twitter when it's released.

not to be too picky - but if you plan to play the main event, should you plan your trip to end after 3/5 ?

Noticed that the main event has been changed from a 60 minute levels for the entire event to 45 minute levels on day 1, then 60 minute levels day 2 and three.

At first i was a little diappointed, but actually now i think that may be a good change, the even is pretty deep at start, and this change may put a more brisk pace - and you probably get into the money early in day 2?

Trying to figure out the best time for me to come.

Well, I live close enough where if I survive Day 1, I can go home and work on Saturday, then come back on Sunday for Day 2 and potentially Monday for Day 3. Its a $60 drive there and back.... much less than staying the additional 2 nights. North County San Diego is only a 4 hour drive away.

Hi Ricardo. We are planning a hybrid, which is bit unique. We will run 45 minute levels through registration, and then make the change to 60 minutes, which will still be on Day 1.

This allows us to play 12 levels and still finish around midnight, which will bring everyone closer to the money.
