I meant specifically with SWA.

I think SWA does charge the difference.

Southwest will charge or credit your account if you change .If you go to a cheaper flight then the credit will be on your account to be used in one year from the date of the original reservation.

You'll note that the confirmation number will follow your meanderings.

Also, if paid with points the points are returned to your account with no restriction as to use. If you paid with points and the new flight costs more and you don't have enough points you may have to buy more points.

Sorry guys , this doesn't come close to answering the question as to whether a passenger can buy a ticket and do stand by without charge. I have no idea, but I do know that 3-4 days prior to the flight prices go up significantly and the "wanna get away fares" are no longer offered.

Again, my apologies.

To fly standby on SW, you need to purchase a Business Select or Anytime ticket. If you purchased a Wanna Get Away, Senior or Ding ticket you will need to upgrade to BS or AT ticket to fly standby.

Are they going to be big satellites to the ME tomorrow at the Rio?

Yea, there are megas of various sizes throughout the day.

About how long do the $125-175 STTs take to finish? Tryong to decide if I should play one tomorrow before the 1 pm 1k mega.

They vary. Most of the ones I have made it to HU in were 1 to 1.5 hrs.

Noob question. I preregistered for Flight C of the main online. It says to show up an hour before start time (11am) to complete registration at FastTrac. What happens if I show up late? Do they sit my stack down and start to blind me out when cards go in the air? Or do they treat me as a late reg when I arrive?

Wow, they are showing the Main Event on tv already. Apparently live/delayed. I didn't think they did that last year until almost the final table.

Last year was the 1st year they started on day 1 coverage. Continuing it this year.

They did it last year, too. I think they only aired a couple hours of each flight on ESPN while the rest was on PokerGo. A solid five hour block of coverage tonight, though.

They start to blind you off from the start I believe. That's what they've been doing in the other events.

Maybe it’s me, but if I’m buying into a $10,000 tournament I’m getting there on time regardless of what I have to do. 2018 WSOP

All kidding aside, good luck.

Nothing requires you to wait until the day of the event to complete the registration on FasTrac (which is basically the person at the desk verifying that you are, in fact, you). I have not gone far enough back in the thread to see if the airline stand-by discussion was related to your travels, but if you were there the night before, you can go and take care of what needs to be done. They would actually print out the seat cards for the first event while you were there as well, and then anything else would be done at the kiosks.

Although I was not playing the Main, this was one of the reasons I got the FasTrac stuff out of the way on an early trip this summer (I had four or five different trips between Memorial Day and Seniors Week) even though I was not planning on playing much at the Rio. When I went back out for the Marathon, I just hit up the kiosk and was good to go...

So you’re saying my buying in to 10k stud on day 2 wasn’t +EV?

So I called and got the answer (should've done that in the first place I guess).

If you show up late to Fastrac after pre-registering online, they treat you as a late registrant. So they don't blind you off.

And pay 3.5% in fees.

With the banks being closed tomorrow, you may have to resort to using one of those cash transfer apps and finding someone with a pocketful of lammers to sell. Alternatively, visit the main cage at the hotel you're staying at and see if they will advance you the money.
