I would sign for the cash and away I went. At the end of my trip I simply bought back the notes I had signed. It was all very easy and it saved me from having to carry cash during my travel to Vegas (and avoid the hassle of declaring that I was carrying $10K). I like this option as it avoids having to pay wire fees and I believe most casinos will accept personal cheques (the V does) so it all goes quite smoothly.
Thank you. This is very helpful.

Anyone else with experiences they can share? Much appreciated.

My only experience with credit was from the trip last week. I was staying downtown at the Nugget. I set a line up at Binions and they also established one at the sister property (Four Queens). Since I had set it up in advance, I had to go to the cage at each property to prove I was me. Despite being sister properties, the cage experience was different.

Four Queens had me sign their paperwork and was actually asking at the cage how much I wanted at that time. I was not going to play there, so I didn't need chips. The next morning, I was at Binions and got my marker for $1K. When I was set to leave from the table, I colored up...they don't settle at the table if the paperwork has already been pushed, so I went to the cage. Cage was content to just give me cash and then settle at the end of the trip. As such, I did have a small amount of cash that I had not intended to be wandering around with for the day.

While I know that those are not properties you had inquired about, I point out the experience to illustrate that there is no one absolute experience to expect. Hopefully someone else can offer you their experiences on current center strip credit practices.
Thank you. At least you were able to get cash and not just chips.

Questions about payouts in the Giant... I get that payouts start day 1, and that one could make the money day 1, but not bag chips. So, these questions are about the people who do survive day1.

1. Does everyone who finishes day1A receive a same cash payout on that day, and then have the opportunity to win MORE based on how long they last on day 2? Or do they not receive any cash until they are eliminated on day 2?

2. For the guy that gets knocked out on the first hand of day 2...will he get a cash payout that day? Or do day 2 players also play down to 15% before the next round of payouts start?

All the day1s survivors got paid the night they bagged around $700ish/2 buyins.

All the day2 busts out did received addional money. The day2 min cash last year was around $550.

GL in it, should be fun one again this year.

Thanks, One more question - What happens to people who don't show up for day 2? Do their chip stacks get blinded out, and wsop mails them a check? or do you have to be there in person to collect a payout?

My trip to vegas will be for one of the earlier weekends, so if I make day 2, I'd have to fly back for a second trip. Just trying to work out all the contingencies for if I make day 2, but can't make it back to play day 2.

I have always wondered this myself. Seems like if they just blind you down and mail a check, there's a financial argument to be made that one should just do that instead of pay the travel cost to go back to Vegas, get a hotel, etc, to only bust out within an hour or something.

They used Copaq last year as well and they were atrocious. Somehow from 2016 to 2017 (both Copaq), the quality went way down.

2015 had the infamous Modiano's. So past 2 out of 3 years have had poor cards.

If you have chips at end of day 1, everyone left gets the same payout as if they were the last to bust out. You can see the payouts here: http://www.wsop.com/2018/payoutcalculator/
So if 1500 started your flight and 180 left, you would get paid what 180 pays out of 1500.

Day 2 you are in the money again and got $365 last year and likely this year too. So if you have very little chips left, it is best to try and hand on to day 2 rather than shove light as you will get an extra $365 on day 2.

Mega satellite schedules are up; of note is that in the regulars(575,1100, 2100) levels are 20 minutes through the first six levels then 30 minutes.

I believe starting stacks are increased as the 575 has a 7500 starting stack. The limit satellites appear to have stayed at 30 minute levels.

As such :

Excuse my ignorance, but for all the years I have been to the WSOP, I never played a mega satellite.
Is it one table winner take all, or many entries play a mini tourney? If yes, how many spots does it pay? Top 15% of the field? Is there a cap on the # of entries? Thanks for any info.

I thought I read that they had changed the Megas to 5pm starts this year somewhere on the WSOP site awhile back. Did they change them back to 8pm starts or are the sheets (from the link above) incorrect? About how many runners do you think the $1100 Limit Omaha 8 Mega will get on June 2nd, and about how many hours would it typically last?
-thx
