That's a bit worrying! You'd like to think the WSOP would have got the manufacturer to agree never to make the same design available to another buyer (which would not stop all fakery, obviously, but would be a good start).
I have always thought that there must be some scope for chip-cheating. I choose not to worry about it [what would be the point!] and just rely on the overall controls provided by scrutiny from dealers, floor staff, other players etc., plus the fact that (presumably) hardly anyone would actually want to cheat so blatantly.
Whenever I buy a lammer, I always think "this would be a high +EV think to fake....."; they don't appear to have any high tech security whatsoever!
