Has anyone here sent in a wire for pre-registration? If so how long did it take to receive a response from WSOP that funds were received? I sent mine a week ago but no response yet. Wondering when I should follow up.

I'm wanting to play the main event this year for the first time. They have 3 day 1 starts. July 2-4. It makes the most sense for me to fly in July 3rd and register for the day 3 start.

Do you think i'll have any problems registering the evening before the day 3 start? Do you think i'll need to be put on some kind of standby/waitlist if I register that late?

Thanks!

I registered for the main and have received confirmation. I wired money on about 14th April (after completing registration via Bravo). About two weeks later I emailed the Rio cage asking if they had received funds. They told me they were waiting until a reasonable number of people had sent funds before starting to process them. I received full email confirmation on 11th May.

I would leave it for at least two weeks after wiring before chasing them - they are very helpful and responded quickly to emails.

One thing to note if you are doing an overseas transfer - currency conversion can leave you a few dollars short if you don't allow a margin. That happened to me last time and my registration was silently stalled until I found out and made up the shortfall.

Thanks! Hopefully will receive the email this week. If not what is the email address I should send to? Couldn’t find anything on WSOP website.

Anyone know how to get a safe deposit box at WSOP cage? Do they take reservations? Is there a fee?

My trip to vegas will be for one of the earlier weekends, so if I make day 2, I'd have to fly back for a second trip. Just trying to work out all the contingencies for if I make day 2, but can't make it back to play day 2.
if you dont show up day 2, you will be sent a check after you blind out. most likely for $365.

Can someone let me know where the $185 9 am mega satellites take place? is it in the same room as the single table satellites and where do I register?

Thanks!

Yes, they are in the Pavilion room right next to the SNG area. You register at the SNG windows, they usually have two lines for SNGs & MEGAs+Daily Deep Stacks.

A couple years out of date, I know, but I did a chart of the 2015 Daily Deepstacks.

Are you heat sensitive? If you park in the open Convention Center parking lot you still have a non-trivial walk to get indoors.
If you can walk a ways (I sympathize with being on the injury list, though) check out the Masquerade parking garage. You can usually park under cover, the trip to AC is short, but you do need to walk the length of the building. If you prefer a cool hike to a dash through 115 degrees, there's usually parking.

The worst thing about that garage is it fills up quick.

This is my preferred parking spot, too, though I'd also recommend the garage on the other side of the building, going toward Gold Coast. That one seems ever-so-slightly closer to the convention space, but the difference can't be very much.

My main experience of parking at the Rio was for the mixed game tournaments a couple years back (as a reporter, not a player) so I was usually arriving in the early afternoon when most of the parking was at capacity. You're probably right about the proximity of the Carnival garage, but later in the day, available space tended to be limited to the roof, and my preference for Masquerade was largely because I could get the car under cover more often.

Damn it, people are giving away my secret. Oh, well. If you have a car and are staying at the Rio and are likely to go off-property, I recommend staying in the Masquerade tower because of the short walk to the parking garage.

The daily $200 BB ante at 4pm looks interesting.
