I think we discussed this on another thread few years ago and the general feeling was "every major poker series, WSOPc, WPT, Pokerstars festivals, Venetian Deepstacks, etc... should publish their detailed schedule at least 3 months before the event".
It's so much more convenient for players and I genuinely think it really help to increase every festival turnout.
I recall that discussion too. I think it was in regards to the schedule releases of non WSOP venues for the summer. In that case, I wish they would be quicker to release following the WSOP, but I tend to give them a pass. Planning for an event which lasts a month, or even 2+ months like the Venetian is not easy. There is also a potential penalty to releasing early when you know there will be competition. Neither of these are factors with the WSOPc. These stops are known since June. Many of them are pretty much the same as previous years. And the WSOPc schedule tends to be pretty standard. There’s just no good reason as far as I can tell why they wait so long to release schedules. Seems like poor management to me.
