Love the 1-day evening events during Seniors week! $400+200 progressive bounty is a unique format and a great bust-out option after Friday's WSOP Seniors. Very creative! Much better than $365 turbo DDS at Rio at the same time. Certainly going to start my Seniors week with the $600 Venetian Seniors on June 13-14. Thanks! (Also convenient to those of us staying at Harrah's)

Was doing pretty well in the $340 last night until my set of deuces ran into a wheel.

If people don’t show up to the mixed game tournaments, then so be it. However, there are several reasons as to why and since you don’t play any of them, your “expert” opinions as to why are irrelevant. And I’m not even going to go through all of the reasons because, well, quite frankly you just aren’t worth spending any more of my time on it.
That is so fkn fantastic. When I think of a whiny mix game player who hates life and thinks he's the best this is how I picture him talking. God mix players are miserable ppl

All seriousness, are they using the convention space yet or is that later in the series?

On the schedule it gives the date when they use the convention space. Sometime in June.

All DSE fees are listed on every single structure sheet found here:

https://www.venetian.com/casino/poke...scps-2018.html

as well as the bottom of the series schedule found here:

https://www.venetian.com/content/dam...8-Schedule.pdf

I suppose these two locations were not part of the "anywhere" you looked.

Yeah, Venetian is above board. If you want shady check out the Wynn:

https://www.visitwynn.com/documents/WSC_NLH_200K.pdf

Says "$1,025+75" at the top of each page. Then hidden near the bottom of the second page they say they take "Four percent...as a service charge to poker staff." They actually spell out 4 and % so that it blends in better with all the other text and you don't see it.

Yeah, I have always found them spelling it out a bit curious, especially since they don't spell out the 30% when listing tax withholdings. Anyhow, it may be a bit shady, though I'm not prepared to declare its a hundred percent (100%)certain

Someone should bring it up onsite or on the Wynn Summer Classic thread. Maybe its just something an overzealous marketing person did a long time ago and they never bothered to change it back.

Last year was the first year I really started playing poker. Maybe played half a dozen times before that and played around 50 times since. This means I am still pretty new and I do not consider myself a pro or even good. I am an average rec player.

Why is the $400 night stack with $1,000,000 GTD not mentioned as being worth it. It has a good starting stack of 15,000 chips and a good prize pool. I understand that people do not like 30 minute levels but at I do not think there are many with longer levels near this price point. The other issue is the 15% rake (if I read the sheet correctly) which is a little high but again at this price point it is average.

My budget affords me to enter the $1500 WSOP Monster stack and the rest of my trip ill have a $400/day budget. As a rec player more time playing is important so more tournaments I enter the better. I just want to find tournaments where if I do run deep I can actually win something.

Last year I entered 8 tournaments most of which were Daily Deepstacks. I cashed in 3 of them. All 3 of them I ended up with min cash. I hope this year I run deeper.

The NightStack is great if you are there the whole time. It's like the Giant in the WSOP in that Day 2 is at the end of the summer, so if you are only out for a week or two, you will have to book a separate trip to come back to Vegas to play it out.

For some writing style guides, they prefer that you use numerals for percentages, except when beginning a sentence, so you would write "Four percent is withheld as a service charge for staff" but "A service charge of 4% is withheld for staff".

Hmmm. Then the wordsmith they got writing their structure rules wasn’t paying close attention since the wrote 10-minute breaks instead of Ten-minute breaks

I think at least one style guide prefers using numeric figures with units of measurement (and minutes are a unit of time) instead of spelling it out.

For me to have looked at multiple places and not been able to fin the rake is shady. They pump out schedules and non stop dse's but actively hide the rake. Please defend that, I could use the laugh.

If you had looked in EITHER of the places I mentioned, I think you would have found the rake info. They even spell out exactly how much money is being taken from the prizepool, as opposed to making vague statements about this or that percentage that may or may not mean what people think it means. So the fact that you were unable to “find the rake” is rather surprising.

To me, that sort of indicates you did not actually look. But fear not, I am well aware that in this day and age, doing something (as opposed to having it done for you), or even “looking” can be highly stressful and taxing activities. You might consider putting in a request to have the Venetian direct one of their staff to sit down one-on-one with you and spell out the rakes for their myriad of events. That way you can “find” the information you’re looking for and they can “inform” a potential customer in as comprehensive and efficient manner as possible without seeming “shady”. Everybody wins.

I went to cardplayer site, no link from any of the tournaments to a fee structure. Have the printed off handout thats 6 pages long no rake mentioned until last line of last page with a link. Yes, I missed that.

The places you mentioned were helpful, after the fact, thanks.

I've had trouble finding their rake for about 8 years now. I love their model,

HIDE THE RAKE
