News is already spreading fast about the next partypoker LIVE event on this side of the Atlantic, the MILLIONS North America. We're hosting at Playground Poker Club from April 21st to May 2nd and there are a total of $15,000,000 in Guaranteed Prize Pools, including $10,000,000 for the Main Event.

Starting Stack: 1,000,000 tournament chips.

Blinds on Day 1E increase every 40 minutes.

This is a re-entry event with 1 entry and 1 re-entry permitted until the end of each Day 1. One same-day re-entry permitted to any player that loses all of their chips or chooses to forfeit their stack. A player may play additional Day 1s even if he/she has survived a previous Day 1 with chips.

Players may enter (or re-enter) the tournament until the end of Level 12 on Day 2. If a player has multiple Day 1 stacks available (qualified more than once), he or she may use such stacks to enter or re-enter on Day 2.

Day 2 Selection: Players must play Day 1 and Day 2 at the same venue. Day 2 Qualifiers at Playground must select their Day 2 (A or B) when they bag their chips on Day 1. Availability of seats on Day 2A or Day 2B may be limited based on capacity.

Travel Bonus: Players that qualify for Day 3 at Deerfoot will receive a $1,200.00 travel bonus to defray costs associated with travelling to Montreal to continue playing in the remaining days of the Main Event. This bonus is not removed from the prize pool and is given to players as added value.

Event #5: MILLIONS Turbo $1,000 + $100 NL Hold’em

Day 1A: Monday April 30th 2018 at 12:00pm
Day 1B: Tuesday May 1st 2018 at 12:00pm

This is a re-entry event with unlimited re-entries permitted until the end of the late registration period on Day 2 (end of level 12)

Question

1. How many tables does the tournament have? (The reason I ask, is I am wondering what the chances that Day 1D will have a wait list). Was there a wait list last year?

We run on a daily basis with around 70 tables available, and we're adding over 20 tables for this event, so there are a ton of tables and we're very good at getting people in and seated as soon as they want.

Also remember that with the general trend toward late reg and the fact that you can register all day on Day 1 - plus the sheer number of Day 1s - that tends to spread things around a little...

If you want to play reasonably early in the day or to open the Day 1D, I would feel very confident you'd be seated right away.

BTW the tables we add will be full-sized "real" tables.

Sounds like it will be a juicy tournament.

Is there any satellites that run for the Calgary portion of the tournament?

Excellent. Thank you. I like this format they have going. Unique way to increase the prize pool. People talk about poker being dead but events like this prove otherwise.

Yes confirmed you can use seats won online to jump in at Deerfoot. We've wanted to work with them in this way for a long time, and are thrilled it's happening.

I don't know who's still saying poker is dead, because the past 3 years have seen an explosion in the breadth and depth of the live game, whether in terms of the whole high roller circuit that never existed before or the thriving mid-market tours that are doing a great job and then to partypoker's entry into things. Together we took a tournament that hit a $5M Guarantee the first time it was held - the 2017 MILLIONS North America - and have now DOUBLED the guarantee.

Poker is a long way from being dead. If anything, we're entering a little golden age. Maybe it's not the post-Moneymaker boom, but it's head and shoulders a bigger economy overall than just 4-5 years ago.

Starting stack for this tourney is 100BB. Your lower buy-in, Playground1000 had better structure/starting stack than this. Is it because the structure is set by partypoker?

Hey everyone this is my first post on TwoPlusTwo,

I'm 34 Years old living in Halifax N.S. anyone that is going to Montreal for the Event #4: MILLIONS Main Event $5,000 + $300 NL Hold’em please PM me as this would be my first ever Major Live Event that I have ever played in.

I've been playing all variations of Poker for a solid 14 years, also big time love for the game as far as watching all the pros on TV growing up rail birded an event back in Calgary AB, early 2009 met quite a few iconic members of the poker world to this day.

I've been working in my field of employment for the last many years. Myself I have always wanted to be that player on TV to make a big final table and play with the pros, I mostly play cash games online and at my local casino.

As of July 29th 2017, I was in a major motor vehicle accident and had serious injury's breaking six ribs front and back also splitting my sternum in the process and sustaining contusions to both of my lungs.

Its been a steady good road of solid recovery and one of the biggest wake ups in all of my life that is for sure. I've always been work work work go go go until this point as for the first two months I was warned to stop trying to walk off the accident as my doctor said if I do not allow my body to heal and rest that my sternum may fracture/splinter and puncture into my aorta and kill me instantly... Lets just say that my movements were very minimal for a few months.

Currently my life has been filled with the thoughts of taking poker game-play seriously, and pursue my life long passion of playing regular games and being involved in as many live events possible. It's definitely worth trying myself, still being in recovery for the time being.

To finish off my first post let me say I would consider myself a very skilled player that never had the opportunity to push my dreams and apply the focus needed until now. I'm definitely ready to take a shot at the big leagues and always the best of luck to all the players I may someday play with and possibly learn from.

Is it required to have a PartyPoker account to play any of these tournaments? I ask because I was at Playground last August and wanted to play a tournament, but I was told I needed a PartyPoker account in order to enter. By the time I received the email and created the account, late registration had already closed.

This was very frustrating as I traveled 900KM's to attend this event and was denied entry even though I was paying with cash, yet I was told if I cashed in the event, I would be credited the money on PartyPoker and not right there at the cashier cage. Call me old fashioned, but some players just want to play live poker and be paid cash immediately after they win. Having a bunch of hurdles in the way is just annoying to be honest.

No there is no such requirement in any of these tourneys.

The structure is really set up to allow for deeper play a little bit later in tournament. It’s really good IMO. Check out how other Mains on MILLIONS tour played out.

Yeah I followed the ME in Barcelona from day to day and it held up really well, and at the final table there was tons of play left.
