Same setup as last summer and the main event there last summer ($800 buy in) had 400+ entrants between two day 1's.

So they averaged 200 entries per flight with only 90 seats, or they brought in extra tables for the main? That's the part I'm confused about. I don't relish the idea of being on an alternate list for 5 hours and sitting down to 40 bigs.

I played it last year and loved loved loved the structure for it being a sub 1000 buy in event. They brought out tables to all parts of the casino. Def not a long wait list.

Ok great, thanks. 10 tables would be no bueno.

Yeah, the structure is exciting and I don't mind getting dirty downtown. I hate what they've done to Binions over the last 15 years but for an event like this I'll be sure to attend.

Maybe i have my facts wrong. Either way, im a huge poker history buff and would love to play there and hear the tournament director talking about history of the room
I believe you are correct. They didn’t have enough runners to cover the “guarantee” and so they didn’t pay it. Wasn’t an issue when I played there last year

Hoping the the ten table limit had to do with availability of dealers and not space. Planning on playing Razz and O/E next weekend

Hope the TD is the same as last year. No only knowledgeable but made good rulings from the few I saw imo

Looks like they removed some of the guarantees, back in an Autumn series in 2015.

“Due to very low attendance, we have elected to cancel the guarantee on our Binion’s Poker Open Events,” the poker room said on its Facebook page. The casino will, however, honor the guarantees for its $200 No Limit Hold’em $10,000 Guarantee along with the $50,000 Guaranteed PPC Poker Tour event. All other events will run as normal, they said, just without their original guarantees.

The change was brought to light by Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler, who made his displeasure clear in a post on 2+2. “This is unprecedented in Las Vegas and may even be a gaming violation,” he griped.

The series is slated to run from September 18 to October 4 and features 17 events including No Limit Hold’em, HORSE, and Limit Omaha 8. The events and their guarantees were modest, with buy-ins ranging from $200 to $300.

How late do the mixed events starting at 11am usually run until?
