As the guys above have said. Once you sign at the WSOP tent outside the casino and get your pass, then just go to the 2nd floor and buy in there. Its quite easy and quick.

I think it was around 375 runners this morning. Glglgl all.

this is extremely awesome to say the least . The only drawback is that we cant watch the live streams of the events. Are there any that will be streamed or at least will they be streaming the results on YT replays?

Yes 375 in total for first flight. They made the "money" right at the last level for the flight (14). It's an interesting way to spread the money as you could bust now and almost free roll any additional flights now. Would love to have someone do the math on this.

Any dress code in the casino? I plan to wear a hoodie with a football (soccer) team logo, do you think that's acceptable?

Tourney was ok, no problems registering 2h before. Unfort. I busted early and the cash games were a nuclear ****up. Waited forever then they sent me on a wrong table.

Despite the lack of clear infos from last week, WSOP and Spielbank are doing a great job. The tournaments running well and everything seems fine here.

I agree tournies have been ran with few problems thus far, however their handling of cash games is abysmal. At 1300 there are 2 lists +20 deep and there are 2 tables WITH DEALERS AT THEM doing absolutely nothing. This just seems ridiculous.

If you check out the twitch replay of event 1 at around the 17 min mark Michaelis vs Avramidis. Mich has 10 4 suit Avram AJ o flop 4h 8h 7cl turn Qsp Mich checks Avram bets 40k Mich folds. I could never ever pull off that bluff in a daily nightly $50 - $100 tourney against amateur yet at Ballys Borgata etc

I won a seat through one of the daily satellites they run to the WSOP-E Main Event and can't play. Looking to sell the ticket for a discount. Already confirmed with floor supervisor that I'll be allowed to do so. Please PM me if interested.

Do they have safe deposit boxes at the Berlin casino?

They don't have boxes but you can make deposits. They'll put your deposit into a sealed package and give you a receipt. They then put your package into a safe they have in the cage.

To all those who went to WSOP Spielbank Berlin last year, any tips or lessons learned for those of us who are going this year? Are the high-rake cash games to be avoided? What are the not-to-miss attractions in Germany once I'm done playing a tournament and have nothing else to do at the casino?

there are a bunch of famous sites next to the casino (brandenburg gate, palament, etc) , no idea about cashgames (locals are pretty bad in general), get a hotel nearby or next to a connecting station ("potzdamer platz")

Basically get away from the casino area as it is the most sterile and boring part of Berlin

Sunday - go and sing or watch Karaoke at Mauer Park flea market
Tues/Fri - Visit the Turkish Market at Maybachufer for great Turkish food, nice atmosphere

Tempelhofer Feld - Former airport that is now a park, you can rollerblade down the runway

Design Panoptikon/Museum of Industrial Objects - Torstraße 201 - Crazy Russian Vlad will guide you through his private museum of random objects from all around the world, arranged into displays. You have to guess what they are and hear their history.

Spreepark - Break into a former East German theme park, take pictures and look at the rides and don't get caught by the guards. Best visit at 5am!

Undergound Tours - Berlin Unterwelten - tours through former bunkers, nazi anti aircraft towers etc.

The monster kabinett! - http://www.monsterkabinett.de/ - caution sound on website!

I might be able to hook you up with some private cash games if you private message me!

Run/walk at night along the River Spree by the Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Haus, Brandenburg Gate, etc. (all light up areas)

Pick a town a few hours away, rent a car, go driving on the Autobahn.

If you like beer, Stone Brewery Berlin Bistro & Gardens is now open and a good way to kill an afternoon/evening (if you don't mind the effort getting there & back).

Did this turn out to be accurate on the best way to exchange for the Euro buy-ins? I'm looking to buy at least €2,800 in Toronto, Canada at the best rate before I leave.

My other option is to just bring a bunch of US dollars then exchange it for Euros each time I buy-in at the casino or anywhere but the airport. Spielbank Berlin said that they have a limited buyback program where only small amounts of at most €165 can be exchanged back.

Would be well interested in this... I'm sick of playing in the high raked local games. They're still beatable even with the mad rake the play is that bad!

Using your ATM/Debit card is usually the way to go. My american bank charges like 1% vig and gives perfect conversion rates. Thats what I have found, and I have been living in Germany for 3 years now.
