I would vote 30 minute dinner break for the 1 PMs

Anyone know what rules they are using for the open face chinese tournament? Now that the app is out, I am finding everyone plays very differently. 1-6 or 2-4? Do royalties cancel each other out or only the highest royalty pay? Want to play in this event but want to know how to practice

Still hammering out the rules. Def using the 1-6 payout with all royalties being paid out so long as hand is not fouled.

Which limit events are two day events and where are the structures listed.

Some are day 2 and some are not

Apparently all the mixed games are two day now except the draw games and Chinese. Why the change.

I vote no on the dinner break so long as we can get two or even 3 of the 15 min (vs 10min) breaks to compensate for it. It's not like people really go down to the manhattan enough to justify a longer break, especially with the food carts outside the room

It's not like u could do it later than 7-9 pm and by then only so many people are still left from the 6-8 hours prior.

Thanks Ship, Sam and I on the phone today talking structures until we were delirious but they are coming along great. We decided to go with 30 minute breaks in the 1pm events and NO dinner breaks in the evening.

PS Manhattan is LONG gone but there will be a newly opened noodle house there when the LAPC arrives.

What? Manhattan is gone? Will you be able to get omelettes and hash browns or bagels with lox and cream cheese at 3 in the afternoon at the new noodle house?

For you we have the Arena that will serve you breakfast all day long!

Anytime a tournament starts at 1PM, there needs to be one break that is longer than others to eat without being in a hurry or do something else after eating like running to the car, talking on the phone, piss break, etc. If you are doing 15 minute breaks every 3 or 4 levels, a 25-30 minute break is minimal but gives everyone that opportunity to shoot for that break and do everything they didn't want to rush in previous breaks.

Please don't cave in and make this a reentry. $10k is plenty for one shot and you're basically putting your satty winners in a really tough spot

i wouldnt mind seeing one optional reentry, but def dont make it unlimited

the way the commerce has the food set up with those hand carved sandwiches, and the kung pao chicken box etc, i dont mind not having a dinner break. and 15 min is plenty to grab the food and eat it, and if necessary finish the other 1/2 at the table. maybe make one break 20 min but over that isnt necessary

What time will 1pm tournaments end? What time are restarts on day 2?

Great to see some non-HE, non-Omaha events in the field.

That said, would be good to see them not price out the casual player. Of the 10 events of this type (again, great work) only two are below $350, and none below $300. there are loads of HE in that range.

The game I'd most want to play (8 game mix) costs over 2k, nearly the same entry as what the WSOP bracelet event in this catagory was last year. If I'm going to shell out that much, and those are my options, it's the bracelet event every time.

now if you had even 2 events like this (say 2-7, badugi, razz, etc), I'd fly to LA in a heartbeat.

Considering scheduling my entire February at LAPC, just wondering is it easy to get a box at the casino?

Also regarding the free food on the cash tables, I play mid-high stakes, is it just a matter of sitting into a cash game and I can order?

Lots of side tables to eat from so people won't be fighting over not enough side tables correct?

Lastly I would be staying at motel with a rental car, given the follow-home robberies at Commerce in the past, would you say it's more dangerous during LAPC time or the same, as in just take precautions watch who's following you never stop for gas etc?

1PM events will end when we get to the Final Table or 13 hours which would fall around 2AM. Keep in mind some 1PM events are 1-day event, if they are 2-days then the restart will be at 3PM the next day unless noted

It is not that easy to get a box, but we should have some available during the LAPC. Just ask Matt or myself when you get there. As for the free food, as long as the game you want to play is in the Hotel Section, your food is complimentary. Plenty of side tables to eat on. As for the final issue, I would advise you or anyone leaving any casino with large sums of money; be cautious and observant of your surroundings. Pay attention of who is around you. Looking forward to seeing you during the LAPC.

the good thing about Commerce is the location,you can hop right on the freeway from there and then your just another car so I wouldent be worried about it but like Sam said you should be cautious any time you leave a casino just don't show off/flaunt it etc gl the series is great

Good advice Sam. You can setup a Players Bank account and make deposits/withdraws at the lower-level cages.
