3PM the day prior to the event.

Also, the event is a 32 max, based on the turnout for our last 2 HU events. We came in at less than 64, and I do not like byes

The event is a 2 day event. Our options were to skip those levels, or make all levels 60 minutes. We chose option B.

The poker rate is $59 Sun-Thu, and $99 Fri-Sat (lone exception is Sunday Sept 5 the day before Labor Day)

Great structures Johnny. Love the bump in level time deeper in the event too. Good job and looking forward to it.

Thank you. I have toyed with the idea of doing this before, but wasn't sure how players would receive it. Jimmy Sommerfeld has used similar structures during the WSOP Circuit last year, and they got a great response. (As I tip my cap to Jimmy)

I am curious to see what the bustout curve looks like with this type of structure.....

Did i read the structures right that the $500's don't have the $10 dealer add on - just the $300's?

This will be my third time going. The structures look good, playing only the Friday, Saturday, and sunday tournaments.

That is what I plan on doing too. Just the first 3 events. The 500, 200, and 300 tournaments. Im also going to do a few nightly satellites to try and get in the big 3k main event.

@JohnnyGroomsTD

I am doing the first three events. Are they all two day events or is it just the 3k main event? I had heard someone say the final tables are done the next day? Can you help me out? Thanks

You are correct. All 500's and above do not have the $10 dealer add-on

All those events are 2 day events.

Per the bind structures:
Play will continue to the final table or 2AM, whichever comes first. If more than one table remains, play will resume at 2PM the following day. If
only the final table remains, play will resume at 4PM the following day. Players will have the option, if one table remains prior to the conclusion of
level 20, to play the tournament out until there is a winner if all players agree.

Just a heads up for many of you that play in our events. We are currently looking at introducing some new games and/or formats for our January Southern Poker Championship. I am looking for ideas, and would like to see what 2+2 'ers would like to see in terms of something new and unique. If you have an idea, and I feel like it can provide us with a field of 100 players or more for ANY event, I am willing to give it a shot...

I'd like to see more games types during the weekend of the main event (ie a HU, PLO, O8) at smaller buy ins. That way we can get a variety of games in during the entire weekend if we decide to play the main. I'd love to see a mixed NLHE/PLO event, which makes sense at the Beau where PLO is fairly popular.

you don't think a 300$ horse event would get >100 ppl?

it could. but it would have to be a 12pm, and I doubt that would happen.

i think it would do just as good, if not better at 4/5pm. You have a noon NL event so you get a bunch of people already on the premises and when they bust they still want to gamble it up so they enter another tournament, the 5pm one.

Just my two cents - I'm really glad you are doing the main event on the weekend with it wrapping up on Monday (labor day). Then us "working stiffs" can make it down over the weekend and not have to worry about explaining to the boss if we get so fortunate to make the final table.

Great job - please do not change this part!
