I think what he (Mr. Spice) was getting at, is that for some WSOP events, sometimes they take a day off inbetween the first and last days of a multi-day event.

In the case of a 2 day event however, I've never seen this happen, especially for the WSOPCE events. Thus, day 2 normally follows right after Day one in these events.

Jimmy they still don't have Choctaw Durant listed on WSOP.com, use your power to get the itt people to list it asap. A lot of potential players don't read 2+2 and will need to make plans.

They may wait and make a public announcement on both Choctaw Durant and the other non-Harrah's venue.

Hear the last location to be announced may be South Florida - specifically Palm Beach Kennel Club. Hope that is true...

That is true they will announce it when it is finalized and it will probably be February 17 - March 1. Jimmy Sommerfeld will be the TD.

The structures have been posted for the Horseshoe Southern Indiana stop. Is anyone here planning on playing in any of the events there (I know I will be)?

Jimmy: Any comment on why the Hammond structure for the $1600 ME was changed to be drastically worse than all the 1600 ME?

Definitely event #1. I can't believe it's on a Saturday. Should draw a HUGE crowd.

I think you can even do so online (per the website, once you complete the registration, they'll call you back to finish it up).
Thanks for the great information. Do you know if they will mail you your registration cards if you pre-register? My plan is to arrive 1 hour before the event, but I'm worried I'll still have to wait in line if I preregister to get my seat assignments.

I wouldn't be surprised to see over a thousand for Event #1.

A better option is to call poker room and sign up over the phone by using a credit card, no fee. It is great and you don't have to wait in line. I think you can do it any day now from 11 PM till 7 PM.

Also, I hope there will be over a thousand but I say 800 or so.

Thanks Sameerald.

I guess my question is, how do you get your seat assignments when you register on the phone? I assume you still have to go to the cage to get your registration card that has your seat assignment. So it sounds like you will have to wait in line regardless. I'm probably missing something though. lol

Yes, but in the past, when they've had WSOP events there, they HAVE sold out on occation.

If you sign up by calling the poker room and providing your credit card, your seat in the event is pretty much a for sure thing.

All you have to do when you get there, is pick up your seat assignment from either the cage, or a table they've set up for just that very purpose.

The line is a lot less, because you don't have to wait in line to pay for it, and you will know for sure you have a seat before you get there.

No wait at all, you just walk up to the center poker desk (where you sign up for cash games ) and they just give you your seat card and your credit card printout. It might be hectec but there should be 4 or 5 floor guys who can get your card for you. I have done it many times in the past and often call while I am driving up there for the event.

Well, I wonder when they will FIX the danged (Horseshoe Southern Indiana) toll free Poker hotline!

It took 20 minutes of persistant effort on my part today, to figure out how to reach the poker room in order to pre-register for the 1st WSOPCE because the Poker toll free hotline number is out of date (it's still talking about an event that happened LAST SPRING with NO mention of the Denny Crum you're currently doing, let alone any mention of the WSOP), and doesn't work properly. You pick the automated option to be transfered to the poker room, and tells you it's an invalid extention then dumps you back into the automated system again.

I finally had to call the properties toll free number, and zero out and ask (a human) to transfer me to the Poker room that way.

Option 4 on the same property toll free number, isn't an option to pick BTW, because it'll trundle you off to the Poker Toll free line, where you'll get stuck in automated voice option hell.

So, right now if anyone needs to call to pre-register for an event with a credit card, be sure to call 1.866.676.SHOE, hit zero, then ask the operator to manually transfer you to the poker room.

The kicker here? Well, Poker room KNOWS about the problem, but they can't get the marketing department who has control over the automated phone systems, to correct the problem.

FWIW ... I sent a complaint e-mail to Harrahs via the harrahs customer service website about the problem.

If I don't get a reply soon, I will send something to Harrahs Corporate to get try to get THEM (Harrahs Corporate) to light a fire under SOMEBODY'S buns at This property to get them correct the problem!

I wonder if the online registration would work better. According to the post above, they will call YOU once you fill it out.

I would love to see the circuit stopat noon, then have a non nl holdem tourney start at 5 (make the non nl events worth less points because their wouldn't be as many entrants). That way you keep the vast majority of players happy by having a nl tourney everyday, and you also make the trip worthwhile to players that like playing non nl tourneys. Any thoughts?

Well, I've discovered that won't work either ... because I filled out the form several days ago, and still ... no phone call from anyone from the Horseshoe SI poker room has called me to finalize it.

I was wondering if anyone had a contact email, or if a TD working the circuit could look into my points on the wsop circuit leaderboard (listed on wsop.com)? According to the scoring listed on the site the leaderboard is not correct for me.

According to Seth Palansky , It should be fixed. Somehow 2 different TR# were used. Either I or Southern Indiana typed in the wrong tr# or you have 2 different cards....either way it should be corrected now. Hope to see you at IP or Lake Tahoe.
