It boosts the poker economy. It doesn't hurt the buyers at all, and it helps the sellers.

If people couldn't sell the lammers, they would play fewer satellites. There would be fewer STTs, fewer Megas, fewer satellites of any kind.

Less liquidity means less money in the poker economy, and fewer entrants into the regular poker tournaments. Regular tournaments would therefore be slightly less juicy.

All of the money in the poker economy flows up from the bottom. Satellites are that bottom, which feeds the regular tournaments which feeds the cash games. If you don't buy lammers, you're just shooting yourself in the foot, in the long run.

In the end, buying lammers helps the entire poker economy and therefore every poker player (albeit slightly). So don't be a d-bag, just buy them, if you're buying into the tournament with cash anyway.

Perhaps you had a bad experience, but from what I've seen, people usually don't pester others. They ask once, and if told no, move on. There are hundreds of people in line, it's not hard.

Was referring to Carl's post above..... I just hate the fact I have to sell them to others and some people get skeptical. I like this thread and will be selling mine all via here. There is a reason I am not a salesperson.

So... I'm a little unfamiliar with these.

If someone was to use one ($500), would they be able to buy into the $330 mega sat. and get $$ back for the difference?

or

Is the entire $500 value gobbled up ~ therefore best to be used for $550 and up Satellites?

last year I was playing sngs and just used lammers to buy into multiple sngs at once. that way i didnt have to keep going up to the window and wait in line. I just grabbed a seat card and went to the table. Make sure you will be able to use all the sng tickets up tho as you wont be able to get a refund on those because you paid w a partial lammer.

Will be out to vegas 6/28-5/5 will gladly buy lammers.

I didn't play multiple at once. I just went up to the window and said I'd like to register for 5 sngs. They printed off five tournament receipts. So all I had to do was go up to the podium and get a seat card. Then find my seat. I didn't have to go up for each one. Saved time waiting in line.

You get to sit at the table instead of stand in line, but it doesn't save any time. You still have to wait for the other 9 people to go through line, pay, and come to the table. I guess if you're the last person to get a seating card, it saves a small amount of time, but probably not much. It's still a good way to use a lammer, though.

I have $4500 total in lammers I won today in the 4pm mega satelite, yesterday technically now. Was wondering if anyone can do me a favor in buying some or all of them? Sell them in line (main cashier) for tomorrow's $1k tournament at 12 pm (Sunday). Should be thousands of people playing, and you only need 4.5 people to buy, shouldn't be a problem getting face value. Just ask nicely, and if someone says no, don't bother them, and move on to the next person. Line will be hundreds of people deep. If you miss that, then there's a 5 pm $2.5k tourney, sell in line (main cashier).

In general, the easiest times to sell are in line at 12:00 noon and 5:00 pm, at the main cashier. Or for the 8:00 pm $550 Mega, at the deep stacks/Mega cashier on the satellite side.

I will be back out in Vegas 7/2. I will buy $1500 worth at face value. Selling these at less than face is just stupid IMO. Help out a fellow player and keep the poker economy going and buy at face value please.
